So, it may just be my cats, but the hole on the third step is very big and kinda scary. Not a lot of room for them to stand on it. I worry if they slip and bump their lil heads on the wood. Other than that, I really like the design and it looks sleek compared to stand up cat stands.

Our young cat was trying to climb this even before we drilled it into the wall. She loves the platforms, hammock, and the rope post. The pieces come clearly marked to help assembly. This isn’t heirloom furniture and it’s not priced or presented as such; it’s basic wood but everything is precise, finished, and sturdy. I only have two complaints. 1) I wish platform pads were included instead of requiring a separate purchase. The platforms definitely need something for the cat to grip, especially the top platform. 2) I wish the wall plates were not in a “cute” cat shape. I wasn’t interested in Hello Kitty decor. I still recommend this for this price point.

The media could not be loaded.  well it’s possible i didn’t read the directions before purchasing (read: i def didn’t read them) but i didn’t realize the assembly required a drill.overall the assembly was difficult but not just because it didn’t have a drill. it included those double sided bolts that twist into something to connect the long pieces. unfortunately the sides are not long enough to twist all the way into the drill holes? so basically when you try to install the other piece the one that’s already twisted in just goes down farther leaving little room for the platform in between and for the other connection piece if that makes sense. for that reason i just left one of them out because i got frustrated. unfortunately the one i left out was the other stability anchor to the wall. oh well. i just used a belt and a blanket ladder next to it and i don’t really mind. overall it’s cute but i don’t see my cats using it a ton but it’s still new. i was very disappointed by the installation difficulty i had but again some of that was user error as setting stuff up isn’t my strong suit however i couldn’t have planned for the bolt things being short. they seem to love the hammock but don’t use the piece that has a hole in it. in my opinion it would be better suited with just flat platforms and the hammock.

Product is relatively good, my only issue is that I wish there was more rope.
