A decent sofa and a great bed
The firm foam is why I bought this bed. I like this product because of its overall tradeoffs1. The comfort of the sofa is ok. There is lesser lumbar support that in a sofa, especially if you put your legs up and try and sit back(see picture). Typically the backrest of a sofa pushes on your back and your legs touch the floor which forces the spine to be more upright. This sofa is 11" high which is low. For best comfort it's better to sit with your feet on the ground which is not bad at all and helps with the back. I am 165 pounds but heavier people might have a tougher time sitting on it for longer hours as the foam will sag down reducing back support. I think the design can be improved to fix the lumbar support issue. You might want to try a wedge or additional back equipment for sitting on this like a sofa.2. The bed is firm and awesome for the back. Some people like a more soft mattress and so YMMV. One can put a mattress cover with a topper on it but I have not tried it. I put a fitted bed sheet and that's about it. I am 5"11 and I don't feel the thin gaps where the ottomans fit into the bed.3. The best part is the compactness and the washability, replaceability of covers. You can compress it and it makes for easy apartment moves. This is a great tradeoffs as compared to sofas made of wood and foam. Its damage proof.4. Fort!

Listen to the Reviews That Say DON’T BUY!!!
Update to my original review: The manufacturer reached out to make things right. On the product alone if the cover had fit properly (maybe it was a manufacturing defect) and had not had a tear, I would have given it 4 stars. If the manufacturer had reached out to make things right after I left a message detailing the problem, I would have given 5 stars based on customer service. However, since I was only contacted after leaving this review, I don’t know if it was a true attempt to remedy the problem or to mitigate a poor review. As a result, I feel it’s fair to change my original 1-star review to a 3-star review. Note: it was never my intent to reach out to the seller via a poor review. Amazon does not disclose to sellers the customer associated with reviews.Original review:On the plus side, 1) it is light-weight and easy to move, 2) the color is true to the photos, 3) concept is goodReasons to NOT buy this product:1) The cover is poorly made. Received it with a small tear. The problem is the tear is at the seam where the sofa flips. That means if we use it (we have not yet because we’re trying to return it-more on that in a minute), it will tear more.2) More on the cover - it fits the cushions, but not as well as in the pictures. There is sagging, bunching, and seams that don’t quite match the foam. If it was just in a couple of places, I could overlook it, but at least a third of the seams/corners are misaligned or bunched. It looks sloppy and not what I expect from a new product.3) Poor customer service. I requested to return the item based on the two defects above - which is the fault of the manufacturer- and the response I’ve received is that I will need to pay to ship back their defective product to them!! I reached out to find out how much this shipping will cost, but have yet to receive a response.4) Additionally, the fabric is a weird velveteen-like, extremely slippery fabric. That detail was not in the description as of 7/30/20. I don’t think it would be comfortable to sit on and you would slide. Again, we’re not using it because we’re trying to return it.So, save your $700 (with tax, etc.) and BUY SOMETHING ELSE!!!!

All around happy customers!
We love this little couch! Got it for the spare bedroom which tripples as a home gym, guest room and video game/TV room. It is comfy to sleep on if you like firm foam beds... I do! The couch is comfy as well, and the ottomans make it even more so. I flip it up when not in use or when I need the center of the room for video workouts. We got it because it was the most versatile one available that wouldn't have our guests feeling like they were on the ground and also not so wide that our exercise equipment wouldn't function. Other options would have been way more expensive and wouldn't maneuver as well for our family. Plus it came in early!!! All around happy customers!

expensive for what it is
This is great if you are looking for something compact that offers a queen size sleeping configuration. I needed a sleeper sofa for an office/guest room but after several attempts, I could not get a traditional queen fold-out through the doorway. This was delivered vacuum sealed in a compact box and getting it in and set up was very easy. It seems like it will be very comfortable as a bed and is very easy to unfold and setup. As a couch, though, it sits VERY low to the ground. This wouldn't be practical for any regular use for adults unless you put it on some kind of platform that raised it 6-8". However, for my use, the couch configuration is really just to save space in the office area until guests visit. For that it is perfect. The sizing and specs are clearly outlined in the description, so I won't knock it for that. However, for over $600, it is essentially for 4 large pieces of foam and a fitted cover which I will say is extremely overpriced. For that money there are many traditional queen sofa convertibles on the market. I was forced this direction due to size constraints.

As described
This is exactly as described. I was searching for something smaller that could fit in my spare room that's being converted into an office/game room. It's perfect for that!Would not recommend this to older people or people with moderate-severe back pain though. It's perfect for sitting and gaming for a bit, though! Also, the polyurethane (foam) has an INCREDIBLY strong ammonia(fish) smell. However, the cover completely stops it.I work in the insulation industry and we must provide a ton of paperwork on regards to spray foam work and off gassing. I assume the smell is from off gassing while expanding, but it must be safe bc there's 0 paperwork discussing this aspect, right? ;)Anyway, let it expand. Leave the room and ventilate it well. Then rush the cover on while holding your breath after 20+ mins.
