(Pack of 10) Intermediate Base (E17) to Candelabra Base (E12) Socket Reducer Adapter

I tried some plastic adapters that turned out to be too flimsy then found these. I read the reviews regarding the solder joints so I beefed these up a bit with some additional solder (especially around the top edge where the inner & outer halves join) just to be sure, installed them, hit the switch then "POOF!!!", I was no longer "Electroman, Keeper of the Key & Defender of the Faith", I became Superman (because they all worked. It's the little things, I guess. >SIGH<...).Words of caution: if these are heated sufficiently to take solder, they will be VERY hot (no touchy with you fingies for 5-10 minutes. You WON'T like it if you do!). Along the same line(s), find a pair of pliers or something to use for a vise in order to hold them steady. And, by all means, DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT attempt this while seated at Mama's heirloom cherry wood dinner table. Remember, she knows where you sleep AND where the steak knives are kept... I have 2 fans in the house that use intermediate bulbs and lately I could only find 40watt bulbs, I really like these fans and did not want to get rid of them so the intermediate base to candelabra seemed like a good idea. They work just like they are supposed to and now I can use 60 watt bulbs, they only negative for me was I only needed 8 but I could not find any packs of 4 or 8 only 10 so I have 2 extra for nothing.

Worked exactly as they should. Not sure about other reviews questioning strength of solder joint. Maybe it has been improved because the two solder spots seem quite adequate for holding this product together. We screwed them on the base of the bulbs before screwing the bulbs into the sockets of the ceiling fan. We used the LED soft white equivalent of 60 Watts. Nice, nice!

We brought a chandelier from Europe without thinking we would not be able to find light bulbs. Non of the big stores like Home Depot or Lowe’s had a solution for us. Thank god I came across those things. With them we had no problem converting to from European socket to candelabra. Highly recommended.

I always stock lots of bulbs at home, mostly medium and candelabra base, i used a lot of candelabra base on my ceiling lights and on the bathroom vanity. I used medium base on others. Only the bureau used intermediate base and i dont have any stock, so if it get busted i have to wait until i have time to get it at a local store but now if those intermediate base bulbs got busted, i can use my stocks of candelabra base bulb using this adapter. It comes handy.

Used this with an old string of large base E17 Christmas Light String sockets to make Above Kitchen Cabinets Indirect Lighting. I used E12 base Dimmable LED Bulbs and needed an adapter for the new LED bulbs. Works perfect.

I was tired of trying to find the "Intermediate" based bulbs for several ceiling fans in our house - and at the same time I was converting all of our lights to LED bulbs. I couldn't find LED bulbs with an intermediate base anywhere on the planet! Then I just happened to find these adapters. They are a great solution. I installed these along with LED bulbs. I now have much brighter, more efficient light! And no more searching everywhere and paying a ridiculous price for the intermediate base bulbs!

These work exactly as expected. I used these to standardize the LED light bulbs in all of my appliances. Highly recommended!
