We just received this the other day, used for the first time yesterday. After one wash of the test tubes the measuring system/lines disappeared. So can no longer measure when putting in the test tube. Also, one of the prongs on the bottom and top shelf broke off (there was no fall or drop), just from a washing. So now the holding set is all off balance. Concerned that if more break the holding set won’t even be usable anymore. Wasn’t expecting hard plastic but this is pretty poor quality indeed, after one use/wash!

Overall I think this is a great set, I love that it has so many test tubes, a container to hold them upright and a colorful line of pipettes with a rubbery top that can easily be removed and readded for cleaning purposes. I've had a great time using this with my kids ages 8, 5, and 2 and they've all been interested and engaged with it, which is a tall order for a toy to span such age ranges.My biggest concern was how easily the globe scissors come apart. My two year old had played with them for about two minutes before the plastic piece holding them together popped out. They are easy enough to put back together and still totally functional, but I wish they were a little stronger.
