The Teva Toachi 2 Women's Walking Sandals feature Teva's Spider Original rubber compound, an outsole that delivers excellent grip, even in wet conditions. Under the heel you'll also find Shoc Pad cushioning which helps to greatly absorb shock impact upon heel-strike and help deliver a smooth heel to forefoot transition. A nylon shank ensures your feet are supported and stable when travelling on uneven terrain. The sandals are adjustable, providing a customisable fit. The sandal has been finished with a Microban zinc-based anti-microbial treatment that inhibits the spread of odour carrying bacteria. The Women's Toachi 2 sandal by Teva is lighter, leaner and redesigned with a women's specific fit and shape in mind. The Toachi 2 offers a shock-absorbing pad in the heel to reduce fatigue and its new drain technology evacuates water through the midsole, allowing feet to dry quickly. A full-length support shank wraps up into the upper to keep your foot steady as you explore the world. See all Product description

More than meet requirements of the job!
Fit well and look good on 78-year-old feet that can wear very few styles of shoes. Unlike the younger set, I was not looking for sandals I could wear down and up the Kaibab Trail of the Grand Canyon. Been there, done that, years ago. My feet are messed up, and no shoe is going to cure that. These have enough arch support and don't cut into any part of my foot. I can wear them comfortably and not look totally dorky for hours. Besides that I can wear them around the pool or beach without ruining them. I wish I could say the same about a number of other pairs in my closet.

Miracle for My Complicated Feet Issues
Now that I have entered my 60's my feet are changing quickly. I have suffered for 2 years now with plantar fasciatis, have very high arches, narrow heels and my left foot is spreading at the toes. For these reasons I have found the Toachi sandal to be a miracle. I can actually walk again and experience only minimal pain after extended time on my feet. I credit this accomplishment to the structure and design of this shoe. The adjustable straps are very helpful as they accommodate the wide ball of my left foot and my narrow heels. These straps also allow me to easily adjust the width and wear socks with my sandals when my feet are sore. (I may even get a black pair and wear them with black socks in the colder months.) The foot bed took awhile to get used to, but it broke in quickly and is now very comfortable. I wear these shoes for almost everything and the fact that they are waterproof helps. My family readily tolerates my tendency to wear them all of the time because they too have had to put up with my inability to walk more than 1/2 mile until I got these shoes. I have two minor complaints with these sandals. First, there are cushioning pads under the straps around the ankle and the toe section. These pads make the shoes more comfortable but frequently get tucked under when I put the shoe on, and I have to reach down and pull them out into the proper position. My second complaint is actually a compliment. I wish Teva could somehow make a version of this shoe for colder months that would not only keep my feet warm but also keep them dry. The winter style Tevas posted on their website do not seem to get high marks on their reviews for arch-support that the Teva sandals get. (The Zappos website gives you specific percentages on rankings like fit and arch support.) I love the shoe and hope it works for you.

So Great I'm ready for a Second Pair!!
These shoes has proven a perfect fit for my finicky feet and all that they support! I need a shoe that offers excellent arch support and these fit the bill from day one. They perfectly embrace and support my foot and they offer versatility in use. From the mountains to the beaches and everywhere in between. I can spend all day on my feet in these sandals and my feet, ankles, knees and back still feel good at the end of the day.I use them as house shoes due to my hard, unforgiving tile floors. I also use them as camp shoes and take them on every backpacking trip. They are a slice of heaven after a day of walking in hiking boots in the backcountry for 3, 6 or 13 mile days!. I use them for river crossings and days of water sport fun and on sandy beaches of Southern California. I also use them for trips to amusement parks, bike rides and family fun in the neighborhood park.I've had them for 5 years and they are beginning to shoe signs of aging. My greatest fear is that they will break so I've been diligently searching for an alternate sandal to replace them. I just realized that I can still buy these shoes again so I'm about to get a back up!!

Comfy Lightweight Hiking and Walking Sandal
Tried a few other styles from Teva (see Numa style) and other brands and like this one best. It comes in 1/2 sizes, has a footbed that allows my foot to sit all the way in the shoe, straps that provide a wide range of adjustment without causing rubbing, and has the best arch support. This Toachi has a simple, not too clunky, look and the footbed is flexible. The charcoal color is practical and has a nice little touch of femininity with the purple and pink trim. They were comfy the second I put them on. So far I've worn them only for a couple of hours. I plan to wear these for day hikes, long walks around town, etc. and will report back on how they do for rock-hopping in a creek.btw, The Teva Neota is more clunky and very sturdy, providing a bit more protection for toes on long rocky hikes. They fit my wide toeball well and I've worn them for years -- w or without socks.AmazonPrime free returns has made this process very easy and the price on these is great.

love them with one caveat
Nice sandals that I use for running (yepp, I run in sandals - can't even imagine running in sneaks in the heat of the summer!), and they work very well. They are light, the heel cushion is pleasantly springy, they are quiet on the pavement, have good grip on wet surfaces. Why the one-star "demerit"? because the ankle strap bites into the flesh! Instead of padding it thoroughly and well with fleece as Teva usually does, this one has a bit of exposed and harsh plastic that rips right into the flesh... Took a while to wear them in - and I still have little scars on both ankles...

Love these sandals!
I got these at the beginning of the summer and I wore them nearly every day all summer. They have just the right amount of arch support, and once you get the straps just right, the buckle allows you to take them on and off without changing the fit.My previous Tevas from the early 1990s lasted me until a few years ago, when they fell apart. Even though I only used that pair occasionally, because of this I knew that Teva made quality shoes. These are a little more feminine than a lot of sport sandals, which appealed to me. I am sad that they have been put away for winter, and look forward to being able to wear them again in the spring.
