Fits my bowl very well. Works great but I still manage to make a mess. It snaps on easily and fits snugly. Way too expensive for plastic but it is kitchenaid.

Gave wrong review and another similar product. I thought it was this one but it was cheaper & did not fit at all as the description says it would.This true kitchen aid shield is wonderful. I ended up spending the extra money for it but it fits my 6 qt. lift handle Kitchen Aid mixer perfect.

When my husband bought me a new KitchenAid mixer I was delighted. I was not delighted at the prospect of using it without the bowl guard that keeps the flour and ingredients from getting flung out of the bowl. This one fits perfectly, and works much better than the one I have for my smaller mixer. Sure wish they would address the open back portion (which still lets clouds of flour escape) and the size of the area you use to add ingredients is pretty big too. I have taken to taping a half-paper towel on each side to keep these covered and try to minimize the flour and ingredient flinging and that works pretty well. Meh ... nothing is perfect! I'd definitely recommend it and buy it again.

Fits snugly on our 5.5QT Stand Mixer (Bowl-lift). Since this is a Kitchen-Aid product, it comes with its own storage box.

The part that came in my delivery does not fit the 9.5 inch diameter bowl. Looks like it is made for the tilt up mixers. The description should have the bowl diameter this cover fits. The bowl capacity does not define the diameter of the bowl. KitchenAid has very confusing information on which accessory fits which mixer. In this case specifying the bowl diameter that it fits would solve the problem. It could be a case of putting the wrong cover in the box, but without the bowl diameter you cannot determine that.
