Excellent quality AND Service!!!
The first bottle I received smelled rancid. However, the owner quickly replaced it and I LOVE IT! It's a wonderful oil and I will be repurchasing. I will probably buy direct from the Berry Beautiful site in the future, but I WILL continue to buy this oil. I love the feel and I love the results I get from it. It is a very heavy oil, with a heavy omega content. For my purposes, that works very well. thank you. Great Service!

Nice sweet smell of raspberry.
Nice smell of raspberry fruit. Being organic is the main thing why I got this brand from the seller. I use this as part of my own organic sunscreen, because I heard red raspberries carry an UV rating of SPF + 15 on it’s own. Plus it makes my sunscreen smell nicer. Great product. Liking it so far.

Totally rancid, and I can’t return
I was so disappointed when I opened this bottle of raspberry seed oil. I use these oils to make facial oils with essential oils for myself and others. I had been using another brand but it wasn’t certified organic, and I really wanted certified organic. I was so excited to find one that was and I was willing to pay the extra cost. The one I was using although not organic was light and clear and nearly odorless. One of the nicest things about raspberry seed oil is that it’s so light. This oil is thick and viscous and tacky, and most of all has that telltale “glue“ smell that means it is rancid. I Purchased it at the end of December so I’ve had it on opened for less than two months, it should certainly still be good. I would definitely not buy from this company again.

Probably helps but can't say for sure
I got this for added sun protection. I also like the nutrients for the skin.It smells terrible to me. Maybe all red rasp seed oils smell awful. This is my first time using it.It also feels like it sits on top of my skin and isn't soaking in. I like my oils to soak in and then to slug something on top of them. This one sits on top. No bueno.

It works!!
So, I have insanely hypersensitive, finicky skin, and I can’t wear even mineral sunscreen without severe skin irritation, instant redness, and dry patches everywhere. (I did recently add Waxhead’s zinc sunscreen to my cart and am considering it, though. Since I regularly use Avéne’s Cicalfate+ cream for skin recovery without issue, I don’t believe it’s zinc that’s problematic for me. It may be titanium dioxide and/or other sunscreen inactive ingredients.)Anyhow, I use this as a broad spectrum daily sunscreen layer for SPF 18-50, according to online sources, and later verified by my derm. This step was dermatologist-approved *for me,* so I won’t irresponsibly recommend it for others. But it’s an option for folks who want sun protection, but can’t use or can’t find a suitable chemical nor physical sunscreen that doesn’t cause other problems. (Seriously, your sunscreen shouldn’t burn you upon application… in a windowless bathroom, to be precise.)To note: I’ve been using this as my primary sun protection ingredient for almost 10 years. I’m 36 and only have minor signs of aging (but with genetics that tend to not be friendly when it comes *to* aging…). I have Sahara-dry, (surgically) post-menopausal skin that’s hypersensitive, plus rosacea. With those details out of the way, to be clear: I don’t sit out in the sun. My kids call me a vampire because I’m fairly pale and avoid the sun like it’s The Plague. But I enjoy having my work-desk up against a window, and I love being outdoors. I tend to shade-hop due to health reason regarding heat and direct sunlight, so I’m generally only in direct sunlight for very brief periods of time. But even those little exposures need protection, and for this lifestyle, using raspberry seed oil has worked beautifully for me for the last decade. If this is of interest for you, or if you’re in a similar position with standard sunscreens, definitely bring this up to your dermatologist as even a “last ditch effort” option. SOMETHING is better than nothing. And this works for maintaining my healthy paleness, and keeping me looking younger (and constantly getting compliments on my skin). 👍5/5

Smells great!
I don’t know if the other reviewers got a bad bottle but our bottle smells wonderful! Light sweet raspberry scent but not overpowering or fake smelling at all (and I’m super sensitive to scents). The texture is light and soaks into the skin well. Used to make our own sunscreen. A few drops of this, zinc oxide, carrot seed oil, and coconut oil whipped together. Lots of online recipes to choose from ; ) Works great!

I bought it for it's high SPF rating. Love the way it feels!
I got this oil for its high SPF factor. My husband just shaved his head and I wanted to make him something natural that would protect his head in the sun. I also decided to put it in my face oils for the same reason and it is a nice light oil. It's still winter here in Ohio so I can't say how it's working for sun protection but I like the way it feels on my face and hands. I love it!
