Does everything you need, with very good sound quality.
Kitchen radios aren't something you buy that often. Our old one gave up the ghost after 15 years. So I wanted something that would be a radio and a bluetooth speaker - I was always slightly irritated by having a speaker sat on top of the radio.Following extensive research, this seemed to be the best compromise. And it's very good.Firstly, it's small. It doesn't take up much counter space.Secondly, I like how it looks. Radios are a rare example where retro stylings are still the thing. Most radios look like my gran's radio did. This one doesn't. My wife and I both like how it looks, but my teenage daughter hates it.Set up is a doddle. There is a small flip up screen that lets you choose mode and navigate and set favourites. You can use as Bluetooth speaker, but it's also got Spotify Connect, which is BRILLIANT. The most common cry in our house used to be "CAN YOU DISCONNECT FROM THE KITCHEN SPEAKER?" With Spotify Connect the person who's nearby can just use it. That works really, really well. That said, the bluetooth reception is also very good. Some other radios reportedly sound worse with connected via Bluetooth - this does that very well. The sound is good too. It's perhaps a little bit bass heavy, but we have an open plan kitchen diner, and it easily fills the space with good quality sound. There's no distortion at higher volumes and whilst you'd not use it in a nightclub, it's plenty. So, overall, this is good vfm, sounds good and looks good. I'm very pleased with it

Versatile digital radio
Compact and useful radio, easy to use tune in to a wide range of digital stations. The device produces a decent warm sound though with slightly too much bass. Tone and remote controls are needed to gain 5 stars....

Excellent - clever and compact audio unit
This Pure Evoke Spot is a brilliant and compact audio unit, positioned in a bedroom where dab+ reception is poor, so bought for the internet radio feature. Easy to use controls, easy to set up, (including wifi), ideal compact size and unobtrusive appearance. Great sound. The UNDOCK app works seamlessly with all important features, so no need for a separate remote,

Versatile with good, but not great sound.
The Evoke Spot is versatile piece of kit which acts as an alarm clock, a FM, DAB or internet radio, a Spotify streamer and a music player from my phone via bluetooth. While the sound is generally an improvement on my Roberts radio, some speech is a bit "boomy". I have tried to adjust this via the equaliser but with no great difference. Ironically music playback is very good. In spite of these small shortcomings, I would recommend this to others.

Works like a charm
What a great lovely DAB+ Radio, smallFootprint great for when you have a busy kitchen. Display is very good and clear. Bluetooth sends over images and shows what’s playing on the evoke screen. Just a note on radio favourite storing - find the station - select the station - press the heart butting and then choose the number slot and it’s done. I kept pressing the heart and expecting it then to store. You have to select the station first not just find it from the list.Great sound and it looks fab toesy

Awful customer service.
Was happy with the radio, have had several Pure DAB's over the years, some have ultimately died with power issues after long service. This units power supply failed within 11 months, safely within the return period so I thought all would be well. It's now 6 weeks since I started the return and still don't have a replacement. The Pure online help desk close every ticket as resolved as soon as they issue a response so you have to keep reopening it to get any sort of action. Ultimately resorted to phoning them but still no resolution. Won't buy Pure again.Update: Finally received a replacement unit 9 weeks after reporting the issue. Had to chase three more times, rubbish service.

Internet radio IP address not compatible with EE IP 4 or 6 routers
I bought the Pure Evoke Spot to use for its internet radio as I live in a rural area with no dab radio signal. Turns out the device's EP address is incompatible with my EE 4 -6G IP router address so I am having to return it. As a mitigating factor the radio is a Which magazine best buy so just make sure it's right for your set up. It doesn't have a handle so not easy to carry about either.
