These slipper socks are good quality and the fit is as described by the seller.They are very comfortable and also non slip.They wash well and keep their shape.

Have ordered a few pairs of these for my Dad after his Operation. He finds they don't leave marks on his legs or cause any itching. They are a bit expensive. They have a wide fit which is what he required and the slip resistant was good for hospital. They do wash well and he has worn them many times

Come up a bit on the large size initially men’s size 9 but after washing was fine. They are ideal for walking on hard surface, not so much on carpets.

My guess is that both can survive a cool machine wash but they are expected to have a short life and the warnings are just two different ways to avoid returns when they fall apart. In that case, buying a set of five is probably wise, but I think the red ones look nicer.
