Serves the purpose. Good purchase.

I use this for key storage on the go. I’m a property manager with over 100 keys, that starts to get heavy for normal handles. I broke a plastic box. This is strong, just the right size and is exactly what I needed.

I bought this locking container for more of an unconventional purpose: To store wet abdl stuff; simultaneously containing the smell, and keeping unsuspecting snoopers out. Overall the build quality is pretty poor for the price, even though the box itself is made of aluminum (seemingly, or another type of metal), that's it's only redeeming quality, as the clamps and handle rattle around a lot and just don't seem like they are put on properly. The lock is pretty bad if I'm going to be honest, It probably wouldn't be hard to crack this thing open with no more then a pair of pliers or a crowbar. (Although I didn't buy it to keep out mastermind burglars, so I'm not gonna dock points for that.) HOWEVER, for what I bought it for, it's absolutely perfect, keeps the smell contained, and prevents snoopers from stumbling upon the contents.+1 rep

Obviously this is not a real security box; it wouldn’t resist a heavy screwdriver or pry bar. But for the purpose, which is to secure things from prying eyes and hands, when you’re not surrounded by criminals, these boxes work well. I have two, one of these and one flatter, larger one. Between them, I can store prescriptions, documents, things I might want to take with me if something bad happens. I like that you can set your own code; don’t forget it, as there isn’t (and shouldn’t be) a back door, other than to break the lock.The hinges were pretty sturdy for my purposes, and letter paper can be stored in here in a sleeve without folding. I could put a few file folders in, if I wanted to. I like the upright carry design, and the reasonable size; it’s not too big or too small, holds what I need it to properly. The handle is comfortable and easy to carry the box with, even when it’s pretty full. I use it to hide things away during home showings, workmen in the house, etc.; I don’t keep it out in plain sight to tempt anyone, though, as a determined thief could just walk away with it, or pop it open with enough force and a lever. This is perfect to deter nosy housemates or guests, to protect your medications from children and pets, that kind of thing.

I wanted something that I wouldn't worry would break. I needed to be able to carry it with the handle, and I wanted something that wasn't too big. I didn't need the locking mechanism, but I consider that a bonus.

The locks are a bit rough, however I was able to program separate codes into each side, which I appreciated. Had no problems with the lid staying open, which other reviewers had commented on. The grooves in the top hold hanging file folders well, and if I angle it just right, my laptop will even fit in! The sides of the box had tiny "D" rings, so I attached a strap from an old purse - perfect for carrying files to-and-from the office!

Pros:1) The locking hasps flip up via spring mechanism when you unlock the case. Quite a snazzy feature.2) The aluminum brackets for hanging-file folders are not as flimsy as other reviewers had noted when I researched prior to buying this item. While I am able to finger-squeeze the bracket to bend it slightly, it's definitely thick/strong enough for the hanging-file folders imo.3) Overall the condition of the case upon arrival was great. Great value for the price, and intended for light-duty use.Cons1) None yet considering the low price. Its purpose is to simply be a security box that holds your items well enough so that an ill-intentioned actor would have to obviously break it to access the contents.
