Vertical Drum Clamp - Lifter for 55 Gallon Steel & Plastic Drums - One Clamp Fits All - 1100 Lbs Capacity

This lifting tool deserves a shout out without question. It’s sturdy and simple to assemble with no tools. By design, as the lifting occurs, the arms, grip the barrel, tighter and tighter so there’s no possibility of it slipping or letting go. Also, unlike other similar barrel, lifting fixtures that I’ve seen, this one maintains a low profile, which is very important if you are lifting the assembly with an engine ‘cherry picker’. As the included photo shows, I was able to set it in the back of my Tundra without issue. My Tundra is lifted 2 inches and has oversized wheels and tires as well. The barrel was almost completely full so I estimate it was around 400 pounds. Not often I buy something that works as I hoped it would.

I received this barrel lifter. I put it together and then I went and picked up several diffrent types of drums with it hanging from the fork of my fork lift. I picked up steel drums and plastic. I picked up empty drums as well as full drums. I shook them and swing them around and I could not make the barrel lift drop them. I’m ver impressed.

I was in a hurry and did not take a photo when I was using it.Very simple design, decent thickness of metal and arms.I have used it once, to unload a 55 gallon drum of engine oil from a pickup truck. It felt solid, there is not much of a lip to grab the oil drum. I wish the jaws were a little wider giving more surface area on the drum.

Doesn't always clamp well. I should of bought a 3 jaw.

As a drag racer, i buy my methanol fuel in 55 gallon drums. The fuel supply depot uses a forklift to put the drum in the back of my truck. When i get home, i simply use my engine hoist to remove it. Easiest way to transfer these heavy drums. Best investment ever.

I use it to pick up 40 and 55 gallon drums of maple syrup. Works great and doesn't damage the drums. Its convenient that it is adjustable so that it can handle the different sized drums.

I like that it’s adjustable for multiple drum sizes and low profile. I use it for a crane inside my service truck and it does awesome. This is the only one I’ve found with the correct profile I needed. Would definitely recommend. I even use it for picking up 8D batteries. Save your back any chance you can!
