Solaration® 3001 Serenity Fairy Statue with Solar Amber LED Light, Ivory Body and Wing

I was surprised by the size of this fairy--I thought it would be bigger. It's pretty small. I also thought from the picture that the wings glowed--they don't. Initially, I didn't know if it was on. The button is so tiny it is difficult to tell what position it is in. When I took off the plate and checked the battery connection, I could see the button better. I pushed it into the on position, replaced the plate (pretty easy--four tiny screws), and put it in the sunlight. That night, the ball glowed, and the light was reflected on the wings of the fairy. After the second day in the sunlight, the ball glowed brightly enough that it formed a pattern on the plants around it (due to the crackle in the ball's surface). It is definitely not a light that will illuminate a pathway, but if you have a magical spirit, like fairies, and want a little enchantment in your yard, it's a lot of fun.

The housing that holds the solar powered rechargeable battery is not solid enough for this to be what I had intended it to be...a garden fairy. I bought this thinking it was cute and inexpensive. You get what you pay for sometimes! It worked for one day, then failed to hold a charge thereafter. Upon further inspection, I realized the problem with the power housing. Save your money on this one.

It broke the first season I got it...

this sat in my daughter's room for months and was a beautiful statue.we put it outside for a few days to charge it and now the wings won't stay on. tried gluing them on, but then the light stopped working. it's back to being just a statue now

This little statue is very small, but the light it gives packs a punch. It is very bright at night. Im only disappointed about two things. First, Its not a gold color light like in the pic rather a white light. Second the wings don't light up. I like that it has an on and off button underneath this basically means to me I can save the batteries power until I use it. It is because of the button I can place it in shady areas that get maybe 2-4 hours of sunlight a day. Over all I gave it 4 stars because it's a great path light, perhaps table light, but the picture isn't the same as the product. Happy Shopping amazoners.

I haven't had a chance to place this item outside yet because there is still 2 feet of snow in the area where I want it to go. But I did take it out of its package and put it near a window so that I could enjoy it. It is so pretty that I almost wish I could keep it indoors year round, but it will be going outside as soon as the weather allows to add my new landscaping project this year. It came well packaged, wrapped in hard, molded Styrofoam so there was no damage what so ever. This was appreciated because a gift I bought from another seller came poorly wrapped and broken. It also came in very good speed, no delays at all! I would definitely purchase other products from this seller because of the care taken with packaging and shipping.

no doubt it is pretty but its too small for the price listed. when we place in the garden, it is barely visible as to what it is exactly when looking from little distance. Its not worth and I will not buy this again for the same price.
