so tacky...
These tacks were perfect for my needs! I used them for hanging posters, pictures, etc. on my fabric cubicle walls. I like that they are just tiny black dots. They do not detract from the pictures in any way. In fact, I think they add a really nice aesthetic quality, and they are definitely MUCH more economical than buying some crazy Kate Spade designed 12-pack of thumb tacks. I have added a picture from my cube wall so you can see what they look like. As far as real tacks for a map, I could see these being very efficient. They push in easily.

Very good quality.
I love these Moore push pins. This was my third time ordering. The head color is a nice bright red and the pins are sharp and easy to push in. The head color is consistent from box to box. The only problem is the plastic box is always broken when they arrive. I guess Amazon gets the credit for that. When you order make sure that the ones you are buying are Moore Push Pins.

Good for a low profile bulletin board
I bought a beige, linen-covered bulletin board to hang against a travertine backsplash. I love quickly posting new family photos, but don't like the trashy look of the typical bulletin board. So this blended nicely. I bought these little tacks because my new board required tacks that have a shorter pin. These work great and also look great because the pins are hardly noticeable. Both the board and the pins are low profile, so the photos are mostly what you see. Perfect.

Great for map pins!
I decided to purchase these tacks for part of a gift for a friend. I bought a map of the United States and placed a push-pin on every place she has visited. This product worked well for that. My friend enjoyed the final product. The pins look appropriate for this type of use and seemed sturdy when pushing (not every push-pin feels this way when using). Overall, the product worked for the reason it was purchased. Would purchase again for similar reasons.

Good tacks and a lot for the price
Exactly what I needed, nice and short. Bought so my daughter can pin up her military patch collection, they will work very well for that. Just one little thing Amazon.... you might want to put them in a little bag so this (see picture) doesn't happen lol :P The case isn't broken, it just came apart and oops - little runaway tacks all over the box :)

Great, retro feel for mood boards, maps or crafts!
I was looking for some decorative map tacks to use in a shadow box project, and these were absolutely perfect! They are sturdy and have a great retro vibe to them. Not too long, not too short, perfect for mood boards, crafting or - even as intended to mark things on maps!

Great map tacks
Exactly the tacks I was looking for! They coordinate perfectly with the muted colors of the wall map I bought. I've been wanting a map to track my travels and I shopped around a lot. I am thrilled with the map but it would be no fun without these tacks.

These are TINY pins, so don't be surprised when the TINY box comes and it's...well...tiny. When I received these in the mail, my first thought was. ' I paid how much for this?' The price is higher for Prime, as we've come to expect, so realize that you're paying $2-$3 for shipping no mater what. Walmart has the same pins for about $3, but only if you can find them in stock.
