Q: What setting on a cricut do you recommend cutting these at? I used the stencil vinyl setting with more pressure and the deeper blade with no luck

I have a Cricut Explore Air 2. I use the Deep Point blade and the poster board setting. This seems to work well for me. The vinyl stencil comes right off leaving any fully cut pieces behind.

Q: would these be usable in a heat press for sublimation?

No, I don't believe it withstand any type of heat. If you wanted to make a stencil out of these sheets, you could use a woodburning tool or a razor to cut them out. Heat pressing would just melt this.
