Gillette Labs Razor.
Have used Gillette razors for as long as I can remember. This brand are always at the front of market for providing excellent quality shaving products and the Labs doesn't disappoint. The design is slick, sleek and cutting edge, i was lucky to get the black and gold LE.The packaging of razor is similar to packaging of a new phone, being serious as well.I can find no criticism of this beautiful looking razor at a push i could criticise the round base. The base the razor stands in when not in use.Strangely you don't feel comfortable or confident the razor stands up in the circular base stand. It do but there's a feeling of unease it will fall, my haven't yet, and probably won't.I cannot get away from the feeling of unease, people who have one should resonate with what i am saying. That slight gripe aside this is the best in the Gillette range.I thought the Fusion was good that's why i have kept with it for many many years.I have had all different styles throughout the years all returning to the Gillette Fusion. It gives a first class shave. This beauty is simply another level, didn't think it could get much better.Try this, you will not be disappointed, in fact you enjoy the actual shave. This is the Ferrari of razors. The only upgrade i would consider is Gillette Labs with heat sensors.(Reviews are amazing)This heats up whilst you shave giving the effect of a hot shave off a barber. The downside is the price just under £100, i would love to be able to shave with it once.Getting back to this one.You can't and won't go far wrong using this bad boy.Blades can be expensive at approximately £5 a blade.I bought a bulk to get them for £3 a blade and they will last a while. You can easily get a month of shaves from a blade, maybe longer, depending on how and how often you shave.I wouldn't use any other brand other than Gillette, as their tag line goes 'the best a man can get'

Great quality
I recently purchased the Gillette as a gift for someone special, and it was a hit!The sleek black and gold design caught my attention right away, giving the razor a luxurious look. The magnetic stand is practical and adds elegance to any bathroom countertop. It securely holds the razor, preventing damage or loss. What makes this razor unique is the exfoliating bar. It not only provides a closer shave but also removes dead skin cells, leaving the skin smooth and revitalized. The recipient loved this feature, as it added an extra level of pampering to their shaving routine. The razor performed exceptionally well. The blades were sharp and provided a clean shave without irritation. The handle had a good weight, offering a comfortable grip and precise control.Overall, the Gillette Labs Men's Razor proved to be a fantastic gift choice. With its sophisticated design, innovative features, and excellent performance, it exceeded expectations and left the recipient delighted. Highly recommended for any man who appreciates quality grooming products.

Super sharp and long lasting
Very surprised at how sharp these blades are! They really do shave in one stroke. The razor follows curves so well. Bonus is each blade last me around 6-8 shaves! Amazing! I’ve been using Wilkinson Sword for years and I’m used to the blades only lasting one or two shaves max.Blades cost more but still a real saving over time. Wish I’d found these earlier.I use King of Shaves gel with these.

Stillusing it several years later
It is what it is.Pros:1. Useful stand2. Cleans well3. Looks goodCons:1. just a little better fit on the stand, maybe a stronger magnet.I understand to strong a magnet might make it let able to release from base, but it falls over at the slightest knock.

Overpriced, ok shaving, with badly designed base
I do not write reviews often but with this product I felt I had to. Thirst good things: handle itself, shape, material and how soft and grippy it is in appropriate places I cannot fault, very good design overall. Blades themselves - ok, nothing amazing in comparison to what I used earlier on (previous Gillette generation and Wilkinson), new blades are possibly even a bit worse, first shave did not impress me in terms of how sharp blades felt, they gave me impression of rough feeling, however I did get good result in the end. I need more time to have definitive opinion on that.Bad - item is hugely overpriced, especially spare blades. One perhaps say handle is high quality therefore £22.50 for a handle with 1 blade (normal supermarket price for this set, I paid £15 on Amazon) is acceptable as premium one off investment, but spare blades or other prevous generation sets with 10 blades are much cheaper and possibly better. Also, beware - new handle is not compatible with old types of blades, which is a huge shame as nadle is very nice and would be perfect with older generation blades. Then there is replacing blades - mechanism used to remove and attach blades is very stiff and one has to really push it well beyond feeling of breaking the plastic blade casing, to achieve that, but to be fair, maybe it is expectation based on older generation blades while all is in fact ok with it, just different solution the the problem. Then there is a base that supposed to be magnetic and hold handle in place, which is not the case. Magnetic effect is almost non-existent and whole in the base is moulded incorrectly and as a result when handle is in it, it is not secured correctly in place, it is quite wobbly and can fall off the base far too easily to my taste. At best handle is not sitting straight upright in the base, it does not look good on the worktop if kept permanently outside, unless you purposefully put it in straight by paying attention to the angle at which you slot it in, which to me is huge design mistake, my wife agrees with me for once ;) , she actually was laughing at that. How can world leader make such a mistake I simply do not comprehend, it is very practical fault and instead of very overinflated amount of paper wasted on the packaging (see picture) to give you false impression of luxury product they should have save it and spend more on stronger magnet and more time on moulding base hole correctly to achieve snug and firm upright position of the handle once slotted in the base casually - item, especially expensive at very least need to be practical and easy to use.Overall, I recommend buying currently very well priced previous generation Fusion 5 sets with 10 spare blades for £23, granted they are not as well looking, as the new one, have no base, but are much cheaper, shaving as well if not better and easier to replace blades.
