Formoline L112 is a linear polysaccharide (chitosan) with a low molecular weight. It consists of a1,4-polymer of D-glucosamine and N-acetyl-D-glucosamine. The main effect of Formoline L112 is to limit the absorption of dietary fat absorbed, aid weight loss and weight maintenance, and lower high cholesterol levels in the blood. Taken twice daily, Formoline L112 binds nutritional fats and reduces calorie intake from food. It also reduces the intake of cholesterol and triglycerides. Lipid adsorbent to help treat excess weight and support long-term weight control.
