Well-written in need of a plausible plot
Quite well-written, believable characters and dialogue. The aliens seemed to drift between being unfathomable and prey to human emotions, which was rather off-putting. But to me, the big plot hole was a religious dictatorship that had somehow convinced everyone to be killed at 27 years old. Uh, really? I know it was predicated on a worldwide pandemic that effectively killed people off at around that age, but some would survive longer, some wouldn't be affected much, and to keep this going long after the disease had faded is just totally implausible.

Fascinating read
Well written book. The characters in this futuristic world study by going into a dreamstate where real time is accelerated. They are learning history, the truth about their past, but some find it hard to accept over the propaganda they’ve been told their whole lives. Aliens also take a big part in the past. Is the propaganda of the past more or just as toxic as the present? Looking forward to the next book and finding out.

Distopian drama not quite there yet
