Proof it works. Limited directions how to.
Amazing results documented for a plethora of varying conditions. By encouraging his patients to repeat a specific phrase, up to 20 times daily, he believed their unconscious thoughts were positively changed to bring about gradual health improvements by means of optimistic autosuggestion. The famous pharmacist and psychologists method was initially via a hypnotized delivery, but he later switched to a conscious patients method and enjoyed better results. His treatments may well have been the first successes from what's now called a placebo effect.Mr Coue never professed to cure anyone, stating that his method showed people how to cure themselves. I would have liked the addition of more insights to scripts used to gain the specific listed health resolutions and improvements. Maybe all that's needed is the authors all empowering mantra "Every day in every way, I'm getting better and better" for our unconscious thoughts, helped by our imagination, to know exactly what to do to cure whatever it is that ails us.

Excellent read on the subject of the power or the Mind and Body
I picked Coué's book because I had been studying J. Murphy's The Power of Your Subconscious Mind which I found very interesting. But after reading this, I categorize it as an application to Murphy's book, a more practical guide to everything that Murphy says, even though, from the two, it is Coué who is the pioneer in the field, having enounced and proven all these facts since the beginning of the 20th century. At the end of the book he also speaks about how to integrate this type of thinking and methods into children's education, which has regrettably not taken place since then.Even more in depth practical examples can be found in Marisa Peer's work whom is world renowned nowadays for her RTT method. It is definitely a fascinating field! This book has definitely sparked an interest to discover his other works as well.

a good place to begin
Quite informative read. We all know the phrase"Every Day in every way..." But without understanding the process behind it is why it doesn't really work for you. You need to build the foundations first... It is quite dated now. But you can see where the modern writers get their information from. I think the key that most of them seem to be missing is in here. with this information you can build the foundation for effective affirmations.

Good book, but I found the language to be ...
Good book, but I found the language to be slightly heavy. :) Lot's of medical examples however some other examples would have been great.

Lots of fluff but some value in there
There is a lot of filler material but skim through it for some gems. If your into this kind of thing check it out.

NEED TO KNOW SELF SUGGESTION
My parent talked of autosuggestion when I was a child, unfortunately for all the family they were unaware of the technique's to make it work, now I've read the book and started to practice Emile Coue's methods i can see certain benefits.

Could be summed up in one line
More examples of patient's successful autosuggestion results than practical examples of how to incorporate it into your life. One line would sum up this book....Every day in every way I'm getting better & better.....repeat morning & night.
