I've been in the hunt for the perfect UL backpacking pot for 2 people
I've been in the hunt for the perfect UL backpacking pot for 2 people. After doing a week long backpacking trip I knew I needed a bigger better pot than my TOAKS 750ml. A 750ml pot is not enough volume for 2 dehydrated meals, 1L would be perfect, however, there are not too many options other than allow for volume/weight savings. I took a risk on this pot, it was cheap anyhow. So I initially went to REI and demo'd the MSR Titan (.85l) and the Snow Peak 900ml before settling on this pot. So far i'm slightly annoyed that this his pot doesn't have measurement graduations, a pour spout, and the lid doesn't fit snug (requiring the use of the supplied storage bag or a rubber band to secure the lid in transportation). The MSR pot has all of these 3 features listed above, however this pot does fit a standard 8oz/227g fuel canister, the lid doesn't sit flush (2mm gap), (even with the cap removed), but i'd call it a success when using the storage bag. The Snow Peak 900ml, fits the fuel canister, as referenced (might even fit a small lighter/BRS stove (I didn't try)); I just didn't think i'd ever use the tiny frying pan lid, which also doesn't fit as securely as the MSR (for normal packing). In the end I imagine that the TOAKS 900ml would be a better option at least it has graduations and can fit a canister properly, I just don't like how it doesn't have a securely fitting lid, which is a turn off for me and its slightly more expensive. The Vargo BOT 1L or the MSR will more than likely be my next pot purchase, but the Vargo its that much more expensive and its hard to save volume while cold soak on the trail, if I get the MSR I might just leave the lid at home a spout is just so nice to have when doing pour overs in the back country.

Keith vs Toaks
This is the first time I have seen this brand of titanium cookware so I had to try it. I compared this with a Toaks 900ml pot. I think the fit and finish of the Keith is slightly better than the Toaks. The finish on my example was flawless and the mug and lid handles pivot smoothly. The metal on the Keith seems thicker than the Toaks. This makes the pot feel more solid and it does not flex like the thinner Toaks. The weight bears this out. The Toaks weights 108g compared to 125g for the Keith. I think the solid feel is worth the slight extra weight of the Keith pot. The fit of the lids is another separator between the pots. The fit of the Keith lid is far better than the fit of the Toaks. This will not be the last Keith titanium I purchase.

Excellent cooking pot
I use this pot with a small wood stove. The size is just about prefect for solo backpacking. I can make ramen noodles in this pot with no issues. I can also boil 3 cups of water. I highly recommend this pot.

I paid good money for a new one, and was sent a used one.
Really ticks me off! I bought what I thought would be a new cup, and was sent an used scratched up dirty old one. I need to see about getting a refund or replacement. Just ain't right!
