This ladder is rustic and obviously handmade (in a good way) which is the look I wanted. It has a slight, uneven slant that does not create a stability issue, however it does give it its own personality. Typically, “uneven” would not work for me. I would be cautious hanging anything that is delicate, or that will be used and moved a lot, due to the splinters snagging. I was initially going to actually “use” this ladder to hang all the throws that we have accumulated and use frequently. Because of the splinters, I have decided to place a nice throw that compliments the rest of the decor and use the ladder more for show. I am still very pleased with this item.

My husband and I have shopped around in stores and online but every place only had 5ft ladders. We absolutely love the height (6ft) and the width is wide enough to place our bath sheets on in the bathroom and our Minky blankets (family room) without looking like they’re too tight or stuffed!! Well made and very sturdy…smooth wood(no snags)We purchased 2 of these and absolutely love them!! Slightly higher cost but you’re getting more material and feel it’s totally worth every penny!!Oh and there is no assembly which is an added plus!!

Very rustic looking. Ladder has that old faded paint look. Was worried after reading reviews that it was cheaply made but I do not feel it is at all. The ladder does have unfinished jagged edges so not meant for throw blankets that will be removed constantly because they will get snagged. But if just using for decorative piece it's perfect.

A bit pricey but a nice way to fill up wall space when you don’t want to or can’t put a hole in the wall. This ladder added a nice accent to the wall that a pocket door sits inside of. I put my recently deceased mom’s shawl on the ladder along with a souvenir blanket we’ve had for years.

Looks good. Meet expectations. The 5' ladder is shipped in a cardboard box with no packing or internal protection/insulation of any kind, so marks that occurred during shipping do show up. A little bubble pack or brown paper would have avoided that. Even though the look is supposed to be distressed, the overall vertical alignment of the ladder is short of expectations. Takes some pushing and pulling to get it to stand up straight. Still - it's a good look, and fills the need.

Overall I love how the ladder looks! I use it as a decorative piece to hold throws. I was going to give it a 4 instead of 5, but that's too harsh...I'd really give it a 4.5 if I could...the reason is that parts of the underside of some of the rungs were not stained so they don't look rustic. The back isn't finished, which is okay because it doesn't show, but due to the slight tilt of the ladder, the unfinished part of the rung shows a little. I'm still pleased and it's much less expensive than some other options so I would still recommend it!

I am actually surprised the product made it to me. Box was almost all the way open, the tape was stuck to itself. Nothing inside box to keep item from bouncing around. Once removed from box I noticed a big chunk of wood was missing on one side. Thought it was no big deal I would just put that side to the wall. Upon turning it around another big chunk of the wood is busted and about to fall off on the other side of the ladder as well. I understand this is supposed to barnwood like and is meant to look distressed, but the item is charcoal black and the damage is pretty obvious. Completely unacceptable for the price paid for this item, especially with the economy the way it is.

With basic knowledge needed to utilize a a hack saw, hammer and nails my elementary child could produce a better quality product. Out of the box the ladder is very crooked and will not lean straight against the wall (nor would hang level on a wall to use as a shelf as item description suggests). The back side of the ladder is not finished /stained to match front and sides, the wood itself is very rough and splinters are inevitable; a rough sanding would improve the finish however the light coat of distressing and stain /paint would instantly be sanded away. The rungs at only 12" wide are too narrow to hang folded quilts or any type of blanket (which was the primary reason for purchasing). After seeing the craftsmanship of this piece, do yourself a favor if considering purchasing...don't! Rather go to the nearest hardware store purchase 3) rough sawn 2x2's, 8' long (for 6' ladder) - cut 2 equal rails per desired length and the remaining wood into equal length rungs, nail or screw together then enjoy painting or staining to desired effect with your family. I give this 5 stars as it makes great (but expensive) firewood!

I am fairly disappointed in my purchase, so much so that I requested a return. One entire side of the ladder has not been painted and when I brought that up to the seller, they said oh, it’s because it will be put against the wall and no one will see it? I know it’s there and I think that’s very poor craftsmanship. The wood does look to be reclaimed. However, it’s in very poor condition and not only is the backside missing paint, but the front is missing large patches of paint as well. I paid $120 and would like to return it. Would not recommend at all, if the seller returns my message and offers to send me a completely painted ladder then I would reconsider . otherwise very poor choice.

It was a little shorter than I wanted. Some of the wood was damaged. Lots of slivers. You can see all the screws. Very poorly constructed. One side is unfinished. Definitely not worth the price.

Very Short, You will not be happy with these items. Plus it will cost you the same amount to send them back to don't purchase.

This purchase was not a disappointment! Is exactly as described and as seen in the picture.I recommend it for an accent piece in any room that you use blankets or throws.
