Pro Series 83660 Value Friction Sway Control, Regular, Standard

I am a class 1 driver there is nothing worse than white knuckle driving, I have over a million Km pulling a trailer so one would think pulling a holiday wagon would be no problem well let me tell ya I have a 2011 GMC with tow package with load levelers my holiday wagon is a 2016 24’ Viewfinder Lite I thought something was wrong with the trailer because every time I pulled it with my truck the a$$ end was always wagging, if you ever pulled a trailer and this has happened to you your butt cheeks pucker! So, because I thought there was something wrong with my holiday wagon I took it in for a wheel alignment so now thinking the problem was fixed I head off to Abraham Lake AB, there are a few hills and cross winds as you pass Jackfish Lake WELL let me tell ya my a$$ puckered! I thought my waggin was going to send me into the ditch, slow out of it (I was only doing 95Km) now down to 80 Km things were back in line, no one behind was passing the traffic line stayed behind me even though there was a passing lane. I told my man I am not pulling this wagon again with my truck told him I needed a bigger truck. I asked around because I had seen these Reese Sway Control on a friends holiday wagon and she said “I don’t know what it does Dale put it on told me to turn it to here and that is all I know”( her wagon is a 35’) I was like thanks you’re a big help, so did some research on the sway control even the mechanic at work did not know much about them so made some calls, well installed it was going to cost me $250.00 to $300.00! found it on Amazon $77. and change now to put it on my man had it on in less than 10 minutes myself it might have taken me ½ hour, but anyone could figure it out easy install not worth paying $300.00 installed. Anyway, off to the west country I go for the Sept. long weekend well let me tell you WHAT a difference! Coming home there was once again a wind storm in fact they had wind warnings but home I go no wagging at all when the wind gust it was like truck and trailer were one unit I could not believe it, not matter what holiday wagon I buy in the future if it’s a bumper pull I will for sure have a Reese Sway Control. That is why a 5-star rating from me. *****

Used on a 2009 ford escape when towing a 17 foot hybrid camper (2400lbs empty) I didn't like that tail wagging the dog feeling from the camper on the back of the escape - this got ride of almost all the sway. Didn't expect the noise from the sway bar when I turned.The handle is hard to tighten and you have to watch your knuckles. Needs a thrust washer under the bolt head and the hex head would be better with socket on it to get your hands away a bit further. If Reese is reading this an over sized bolt head would help as I can see this one chewing up itself and the surface under it as they do not meet flat.

This thing is a God send. We tow a 17ft with our rav4 v6 and you could definitely feel sway before installing this. Now with this on its 10 times better. We had a bit of a white knuckle drive home with it on because the winds were insane but it would've been 10x worse if we didn't have it. Would 100% recommend to anyone. Easy installation too according to my husband!

Have used these for many years, bought a new one because the old one went with a trailer I sold. They never seem to wear out, and really make the trailer more stable in cross winds.

I bought 2 of these because I read that for larger travel trailers, 2 is better.I have a 33' travel trailer that weighs about 9,000 lbs. I only put 1 of the sway controls on. It made a very significant difference. The reduction in sway was very noticeable.I am going to install the 2nd one soon. I'm confident that, with 2, any remaining sway will be eliminated.
