Worked great on trip to Japan
Love it. Great size and weight to take on our trip to Japan. We wanted a way to easily print from our iPhone SEs and share photos with friends in the moment. Yes, we could have just bought another camera that does the same thing, but this was better quality color images, better price and more fun with our friends. A great gift for any age, but the best gift for yourself to share with others.

Clear and Vibrant!
Got this as a gift for a friend. The photos came out super crisp and clear! No fuzziness or undersaturation as sometimes seen on Polaroids.

Pictures are perfect for scrap booking. Although pictures a little small.

Printed photos are sometimes better, even if print quality is inconsistent
I like printed photos and got this for a project which I'm documenting in a notebook. The fact that the prints are also stickers (if you want them to be) is great for documenting things. So let's talk about the different aspects of this: the printer and print quality, the app, and the prints. The printer is quick and fun to use. It easily connects to your phone over Bluetooth using the app. It emits a really high pitched whine when about to print but if you're old enough you might not even hear it (though I'm in my mid thirties and can hear it fine). The sound is not really a problem, just an observation. It's very small and portable and the cartridges are dead easy to replace. The lights are easy to figure out. It charges within an hour or so and holds a charge for a few days or for 10 prints in a row (at least).Print quality is hit or miss. When taking photos with subtle gradient changes like photos of the sky you'll get prints that look like digital photos. A bit disappointing. Some photos look pixelated after being printed. It's a bit of a crapshoot. Some prints come out looking like legit analog photos and others come out pixelated. It doesn't seem to have any relation to the quality of the image as you could have the best lit, high pixel count, clear photo and it'll come out looking like it's been compressed somewhere between being sent to the printer and being printed. That said, most photos look great. Often times the filters in the app will make the photos look better when printed if the pixelation problem occurs. The app is great. I don't like having to use apps with hardware but this I don't mind. It isn't bloated, doesn't try to sell you anything extra, and does 2 things and does them well: it connects to the printer to print and it applies filters that are fun and tasteful. I personally prefer the single color filters and the handful of instant camera filters for printing. It will save the filtered photos to your camera roll for later recall after printing. Choosing the photos is simple and you can send a photo from your Photos app directly to the app from the share sheet if you have an iPhone. The prints are good as I mentioned but one thing to talk about is how they're also stickers. You can peel off the backing if you wish and use the photo as a sticker. They're actually moveable stickers which are supposed to retain their stickiness so you can put them in one place and then remove them and put them somewhere else. That works well if you're going to stick it onto a laptop or furniture, a fridge door, or anything that isn't paper. However, if you stick it to paper you'll find it doesn't stay put for long. I mentioned I've been sticking these to notebook pages to document a project. I've had to resort to using a photo glue stick to keep the photos in place because they just come off the page if the paper is bent even a little. I don't like the white bar on the bottom of the photo but you can tear that off as it is perforated. You can also apply a frame in the app so that the white bottom border looks intentional like an old instant photo. Either way, using it as a sticker is totally optional.Overall I like this a lot despite its shortcomings. The main shortcomings are the pixelated prints that happen sometimes and how the sticker doesn't stay put when placed on paper. Otherwise I like all the other features and being able to quickly and easily print physical photos that last forever.

Best small format printer
I’ve owned several small format photo printers over the past decade, and this is by far my favorite. Easy to use, connects without hassles or issues, print quality is great, and sticker feature is fantastic. The app is easy to navigate and use, connects seamlessly, and offers a nice selection of extra features - from text formats, filters, frames, etc. - if you wish to add them to your prints. The dye sublimation and coating is so much better than Zink and other “instant” formats. Having previously using a different brand of dye-sub printer, and continually struggling to get it to connect with my phone/iPad, I much prefer this for ease of connectivity and all-in-one cartridge/print paper convenience. I like to keep photo journals, especially for travel and family gatherings, and this is hands-down my favorite photo print option ever. Well done, Polaroid - you’ve created the best so far!

Verified purchase
Absolutely worth the money. I was able to print 10 pictures at once with no overheating. The quality of the pictures are actually better than instamax that I have. There are settings to adjust the quality of the picture before you print so if anybody complains about the quality it’s their device not the printer. If you like watching the process of development then this is definitely for you.

Great printer until the latest app update bricked it
Worked great until it didn't. With the latest update, it bricked my printer. It would show up on my iphone blue tooth settings but for some reason, the app wouldn't recognize anything. Also the power button stopped working. After a back and forth with Polaroid, they just said I had to make a warranty return through Amazon, not them since that is who I bought it through. After a chat with Amazon, they said that they would make a one time exception since the return window closed in Feb 2024 (I bought this Nov 2023) and allowed me to return it. I asked the rep why did the return window close in Feb when there is a 1 year warranty? He didn't seem to understand the difference between a normal return and a warranty return. I didn't want to argue with him so I let it be.Guess I'll be in the market for a different product.
