Flash Furniture Erik Contemporary Adjustable Height Barstool with Footrest and Rounded Mid-Back, Upholstered Bar or Counter Height Stool, White/Chrome

We've been shopping for months for a good barstool that wouldn't break our bank, and would fit well with our little window breakfast bar . We found these-- loved the design, and the price wasn't bad at $122/ea, after 11% off). Then we clicked the "used/very good condition" button. We figured they were returned for whatever reason, took a chance, and ordered them. For a little more than the price of one, we got two barstools. One had a small, light scratch and tiny dent on the base, and the non-functioning (plastic) decorative ring that went around the base of the seat pole was broken, but we Gorilla-glued it, and it was fine. Both stools had perfect upholstery, and all the parts were included-- nothing else was broken or scratched in the 2nd one. Assembly was super easy, too. These are very cushy and comfortable, give decent lower back support, and don't cut into the back of your hamstrings like many stools do. We just wanted white, but they also come in lots of fun colors (base comes in gold, too). Would recommend!

Ordered gray fabric from Amazon. I love these bar stools at my kitchen island. 1. Key to Set-Up: A. Be sure the front of the seat faces the foot rest. B. The post comes with a black cap on it which prevents the orange button from being depressed that then triggers the extension to its tall height since the box would burst open at full height! You must take that cap off before you put it into the bottom of the seat. If you forget, you can take a hammer and screwdriver and punch it out. After a few holes in the plastic top, it will compress enough to fall down the tube! Trust me. 2- Color, Gray and Chrome - I have these in a kitchen modern gray base cabinets, saddle/walnut uppers, smoke tile back splash, falcon LVT flooring, with stainless appliances. The grey color is very nice with my colors and the upholstery is well done. I like the chrome even though I would have preferred brushed stainless look. The price was right. 4. Quality - great! We love how they sit. My feet do not bother me on the bar. These are not scratching my floor, which is fairly easily scratched. They have a rubber gasket that sits inside the bottom ring. I will make sure those stay in place and check them when I wipe the base up (which shows dirt in my sunny kitchen pretty easily). 5. Amazon service is awesome - I was shipped one wrong item and Amazon is sending the delivery service back with a prepaid return ticket and the right one is on the way.

I ordered these counter chairs for my kitchen island after a lot of research. My main criteria were easy maintainability (read fast stain/mess removal considering my little one) and sturdiness (did not want the chair toppling over everytime my kid decided to do a jump and bounce and a 'lean too far to the back' turn on it). I read the reviews on these chairs and they seemed to meet my criteria though they were a bit over my budget. I held out for a long time to see if I could find these in yellow ( I had found other chairs in that color but loved this model too much). But I took the plunge and ordered the tangerine orange and have not looked back since.Pros1. Fast shipping. Easy assembly - I ordered 4 and each took me a little under 15 minutes to assemble.2. Lightweight, yet sturdy. The base of the chair is wide, ensuring the chair does not topple if I lean back too far. Also, I can move and slide them quite safely on my new hardwood floors without fear of scratches. The rubber base at the bottom is holding out well.3. The seat is wide and comfortable. I do not even sit on my couch any more. I do all my work sitting on this chair on my island (it has even helped bring down the amount of tv I watch as am no longer a couch potato :) )Cons1. The chair did topple backwards onto my little one when she decided to hang off the back of it, scaring the both of us. True that it could happen with any chair but it has made me a little wary of trusting this one around little kids.2. The seat shifts down an inch or so every time you sit on it. Not a big deal in itself but not an attractive feature.3. The footrest while being stylish is extremely uncomfortable to rest your bare feet on. I am going to have to put in some kind of soft cushioning around it to lessen the discomfort.Overall, a great buy for a good price but calls for a few design changes.

Searched a long time for a company that would sell three bar chairs and found this one. Chairs are sturdy, very pretty and modern and was so easy to set up. The price was right so no complaints. Got the white ones and happy that the material can be cleaned if it gets dirty. Would definitely recommend.

This seemed like a great deal when I saw it. Inexpensive and the color was ideal. I just wasn't convinced of the style. Overall it's good purchase. The seat fits well and is quite comfortable. The armrests are at the right height and the pneumatic system raising and lowering the chair works well. I had to buy this to replace my existing few year old stools because the cheap crappy fake leather - vinyl was peeling and falling apart. Real leather is the way to go but if that's out of your price range, cloth is an adequate substitute, though it can get dirty. The mirror finish chrome base also looks really nice. The foot rest though isn't all too comfortable if you're not wearing shoes. It's quite narrow and can dig into your soles if you're putting your weight on it to get onto the chair. So far though, it's been holding up really well and I'm quite satisfied.

Love this chair! I am 5'4" and the low setting is perfect for standing then sitting and standing again. I teach from an upright piano at home and the computer is atop the piano. This chair allows me to look straight ahead at the student and still play the piano. The arms allow me to get up and down easily and to sit back and relax. It is attractive and functional. I weigh about 140lbs and it is very sturdy. I have used it daily since the beginning of September and couldn't be happier. I am not great at assembling anything, but this was easy. There were some helpful hints in the other reviews, but I don't recall whether or not I needed them.
