OUTSTANDING!!!
I bought a second company, with actual employees. For the last year we kept doing it as it has always been done. Hand written time sheets, hand calculating hours every week. Always had to plan on being at the office at the end of the week to pickup time sheets and then be there to deliver checks, hand written checks.I am not a paperwork person, I have a great respect for the folks that can actually sit at a desk and stare at paperwork, do taxes, payroll, etc., all day, everyday. I couldn't do it.The IconTime, TotalPass P600. I am on my knees, bowing down to this wonderful creation!! I'm not worthy! The clock is quality built from the outside. We opted for the "badge" reader type. Due to our line of work I could see dirty, bandaid covered fingers, grease, oil, becoming an issue. The buttons are large but not infomercial phone button large. Screen is clear, easy to read even from 10-15 feet away.I dreaded the setup, I don't care for these things either. Usually instructions are, lacking to say the least and in the most polite contruction worker language I have. The IconTime TotalPass, cover it with Awesome sauce!! The user manual that is downloaded, clear, detailed with walk through instructions. The index is excellent! You have an issue or you're searching for something, you'll just about be guaranteed to find it in the index. Everything I thought of and then looked for in the index, it was there. Clickable index links that take you to the page, links that will tell you that you "can find it here.....". I have never dealt with IconTime before but this has been well thought out, ease of use, just an excellent product. You will pay for these awesome features however and I was skeptical at first. $400 is a chunk of money compared to, hand writing on some printed out timesheets. However, once you go into your time management area and you look at how easy it is to access everything, change hours, add holidays and more, that $400 was easy to spend. You can view employee times as a whole or as an individual time card. Basic employee information, employee payroll number, ID and pins can be set to whatever you like. We are not huge so we kept it simple. Employees name instead of some random number for the ID. We have not processed payroll yet but there are seven different types of export files available, i.e., Quickbooks Online, SurePayroll and others. If you have an outside payroll company then you may be able to just zing the file over to them, easy peasy. The only thing I'm concerned about at day two of the ownership of the time clock is accessibility. We can get on our site at our business location (network) but outside of that network, for example, home office, I coulc not access the site to look at time. This may be a me issue and I will investigate. But, this is one of the things I needed most. So I would not have to be at the business location to grab hours, say, if I actually wanted to take a vacation, yeah, I know, other business owners out there are laughing, Vacation? What are those? We can dream right?Overall, I am very pleased with this product. Be mindful, I've had it connected for two days! But, I can honestly say, the features the ease of use, options are excellent. They (IconTime) also offers after warranty service and assistance, so they won't bail out on you completely. I would highly recommend this to another business owner. Almost the best $400 I've spent. Can't wait to not write checks anymore!

A Great Stand-Alone Time Keeping System
TL;DR - This timekeeping system is a major improvement over physical time cards for on-site time keeping. The web interface is easy to use, simple, yet powerful enough to pretty much completely automate time and benefits tracking. Be careful if you plan to setup remote access. The biggest draw to this particular system is that it is a stand-alone device. All the data is stored in the clock itself, rather than on a separate computer or in a cloud server. By connecting the clock to your network, you can access all the information using a web browser from any/multiple computers on the same network (with the login credentials of course). For the proximity badges, the built-in reader uses standard unencrypted 125 kHz 26-bit RFID technology. Any cards/fobs of this type should work with this clock. Note these are not encrypted like HID or Honeywell cards. Multiple tags can be assigned to each employee if desired. We setup two card holders at the clock, one for IN and one for OUT, to mimic the old physical time card system. The revision zones work well for rounding time to the start and end of a shift. A punch within the revision zone doesn't change when the punch is recorded, but just how time is automatically calculated. But, you can only setup one IN and one OUT revision zone per department. It would be nice if a couple could be defined, to make better automatic tracking those who punch out to leave the building for lunch, but only one can be specified.Being network connected, I assumed that you could specify your timezone, and the clock could automatically retrieve the correct time from an NTP server, but this is not the case. I contacted support and they said this is not currently a supported feature. You must manually set the clock to the correct time, but it does have a battery backup to keep time if power is lost. It has a checkbox to enable daylight savings time, but not any way to adjust when daylight savings occurs. I assume it is hard-coded to the current American rule (2nd Sunday in March, 1st Sunday in November), but I don't know yet.If you wish to access this clock off-site from over the internet, that will take some technical IT skill. I would STRONGLY recommend against port-forwarding the time clock, as this will directly expose it to the internet. You can actually google "login - time clock" (include the double quotes) and see many login pages for some people who have done exactly this. The low-security login works just fine for a local network, but definitely not robust against outside professional attackers. I would instead really advise setting up a proper, secure VPN server on-site for remote computers to access your local network. If you insist upon port-forwarding, at least use a non-standard port number on the internet side to somewhat hide it.Its got some more great features, like basic benefits tracking and accrual. Overall, it is a nice well-rounded product that seems to get the job done much better than physical time cards.

Good for Small Operations
We'd been using paper logs for our employees. When we started dividing how we would charge time to various departments, this device came in handy. Editing and adding time is easy and importing our payroll was a breeze. However, the WIFI feature didn't mech well with our router. It kept disconnecting or wouldn't connect to the network. Ultimately, we had to use an ethernet cable to connect it. Likewise, for the average person, setting up remote access would be testing to say the least; not hard, just tedious. Also, if one adds the time manually and compares it to the clock's sum, it can be off by +/-.01 minutes (or about 36 seconds). I assume it's rounding around the department changes.Overall, we have enjoyed this clock. It has made processing payroll much easier. At the very least, it calculates in hundredths of an hour, rather than us having to convert it manually.

Hunk of Garbage
This is a rarely used, no-touch (time badge) clock with 50+ employees. They work one month seasonal in the year with a few people coming in on occasional weekends. Within the first six months, the backlight started to flicker and then failed; now the backlught doesn't work at all and people have to shine their flashlight to clock in/out.This June, after only two years of limited use, the time clock no longer connects to any network via wifi (we've tried four different networks), and after going through the absurd USB connection process, it will not connect via USB either. For what this costs, I would rather pay for ANYTHING else. This was a complete waste of time and money.

Great Time Clock Upgrade
We purchased these clocks to upgrade from a paper card system. we have two of these linked together in two separate buildings, (Same network) and they work fantastic. I did have to contact support to buy more employee slots on the clock, but it was super easy and they were very helpful. The clocks have really good build quality, they are being used in a fairly harsh manufacturing environment, heat dust, etc. and they have worked flawlessly. The software is also perfect for our application. It allows for multiple users and was easily picked up by all the staff that needed to use it. Another feature I like in the software is that you can set the clock to automatically deduct lunch after so many hours of work.Main points:-Durable-Easily expandable-Good software-Easy to use-Quick setup-Great customer support from mfg.Although these were not the cheapest clock options. They have paid for themselves with how much time they save our payroll staff. I would recommend these clocks to any other business.
