Citizen, not a good company to work with if you have a problem.
My Citizen watch was defective almost from the get-go. I give it time to fully charge the battery to no aval. Long story short Citizen company didn't try at all to fix the situation with my watch said I had to send it to calif. on my dime the maybe have it fixed, and it would take many weeks to see what was wrong with it. Email response from them took forever and forget about online chat with them no one ever came on and I waited a long time. (at least an hour). Anyway, Amazon was great, and the rep was very helpful and took care of my situation right away. I will never buy another Citizen watch again.

Beautiful & stylish watch, but one issue
Oh, how I wish I could give this watch 5 stars. It's simply beautiful, stylish, very high quality, keeps perfect time, never needs a battery, and has the appealing green highlights (even at the tip of the second hand). Citizen is an excellent brand and make watches that will provide many years of reliable service. Now the reason for my docking a star: the band. The underside is stamped "Genuine Leather" and there's no reason to doubt this. But the issue is that there's a very thin black coating affixed on top that seems to be made out of a vinyl/plastic material. There would be nothing wrong with this if it was stuck on well, but after just one month of use it has started to literally peel off in the section towards the middle that is unavoidably bent whenever I take the watch off. And not only have I not even worn it every day, but I put it on and take it off just once on the days when I've worn it, so hardly excessive wear & tear. Of course, one option would be to just replace the band, but it has the 4 green stitches that add to the watch's overall aesthetic appeal. And really, one shouldn't have to do that with a practically brand new watch anyway, much less one made by Citizen.I still love this watch though, and still recommend it despite the faulty band. I haven't read any other reviews saying they had the same band issue, so maybe this is really just a hiccup with my particular watch for whatever reason.

Awesome watch!
I love this watch! I got it because of the way it looked. I love green and this watch just stood out to me... I wear it everyday and I just cant stop looking at it.One thing that is "different" is the big silver lines are on all of the ODD numbers and not at the 12,3,6,9 positions. I am older so I am used to having the big lines at the traditional positions so its a bit confusing when you are not used to it.I do not like how the hands do not glow in the dark. If the lighting is bad you cannot see what time it is.I have only had the watch for about a week so I cant say how it will hold up to time but first impressions I LOVE this watch.

Nice Watch, Terrible Band
I debated whether to give this watch three or four stars. The watch itself is very nice looking- a dressy, minimalist style, with solar power, that I was looking for. The biggest drawback for me was the lack of luminous hands & hour markers. Other than that, it appears to be a typical, good-quality watch by Citizen. On the other hand, the band is very cheap and cheesy. The fine mesh band is very wimpy when compared to the design of the watch body. When the clasp is released, both parts of the band come completely apart, and the clasp is only secured with one tiny little solid (silver) metal pin that isn't fixed to the main body of the clasp. That is a recipe for losing the watch. When I opened the box, the pin was missing, and my first reaction was to send the watch back. Then it fell out of the box, so I tried to reinstall it, but there is nothing to hold it in the clasp. Again, I thought about sending it back. However, I liked the watch itself so much, and I got it for a good price through a third party Amazon reseller, that I decided it was worth keeping and putting an extra $36 dollars into it by replacing the entire band. I bought a beefier five-row coarse mesh band with removable links. It has a double clasp, and even if it pops open, it still retains a continuous loop around my wrist, thus reducing the risk of dropping/losing it. I think the new band is more appropriate to the watch style, and takes it from a three star, to a four star rating- lack of luminosity being the only negative now.
