I needed a dependable way to mount a safety light on my non magnetic roof and this was the perfect solution. It’s heavy steel with thick cushions underneath..it has pre drilled holes but I needed to drill another one to center the light I bought. It was very easy to install and I’d recommend buying it.

Easy assembly

The media could not be loaded. I order this before I seen a review of a person saying they had to bend the bracket to make it lay flush with the roof of the cab so of course I was worried but come to find out this worked perfectly! No bending required! I had bought the strob light before buying this mounting bracket because the light had magnetic feet and I thought it would simply stick to the roof but I found out (after trying to mount it) the roof is Aluminum and isn't magnetic! I didnt want to return the strob and order a new one so since the strob was longer than the mounting plate on the bracket I added a steel plate on each side of it to give me the length I needed. So all in all the bracket fits right and lays flush. 2 thumbs up from me!!

This was an easy install even with my bed camera. I like the size as it works for a 12” strobe housing and a magnetic CB antenna mount.I did add metal plates with 3M adhesive where the LED flasher and CB antenna reside. This allowed for magnetic attraction while providing ability to remove mount and trade truck without issues.

Broke this review down with explanation1. Mounting and Ease of Installation 9 out of 102. Pre-drilled holes for mounting 4 out of 103. Appearance 7 out of 104. Mounting and Driving 1 out of 10The mounting and installation is easy - one person can do it but two would be easier, the pre-drilled holes are ok however the center area does not line up to all incoming wiring - forcing you to make a decision to cut the opening or pinch the wire. Appearance is ok - but sitting back on the roof makes it appear rather odd. Its doable but just very odd when your looking at it. Mounting and Driving - what I mean by this is, this bracket mounts on the back of the truck third light - if you drive the average speed limit the bracket starts bouncing and pounding on the truck roof - it makes a gawd awful noise and the strain it is putting on the thin aluminum it is mounting too is beyond what the roof can handle - if there is Wind forget it , your average speed will not drop to 40mph so you don''t hear it bouncing and weakening the roof - i had to cut the center hole to get my center wire into the bracket - and now i am SOL from returning it - I highly recommend Not purchasing this or any other mount like it unless you plan on permanently anchoring this into your roof from the front and back,. Its a shame I really thought this would work
