I have four if these and I like the ease if operation. I guess im really aware of the remote and functions. It provides a great picture.

Easy to Setup and Easy to Use
Sony DVD player setup was simple, straightforward and easy. Took me about 15 minutes to start playing Avatar using a wireless set-up. Remote for DVD player is not needed except to pause, stop or playback movie. Everything else (like sound level, switching to playing TV or turning on/off) is controlled by your TV remote. Wasted a lot of time trying to use the old Blue Ray DVD player which I discarded. The old DVD Blue Ray player is no longer supported and is obsolete. Glad Sony still provides a DVD player that can play back DVDs using the original Blue Ray format.

So far it works well for what I got it for, watching dvd's and bluray. I don't use it for streaming, use my roku instead.

If steaming is important pick a different player.
Really disappointed. Got the player for its streaming capabilities. The Fandango at Home (formerly VUDU) doesn't work at all and Netflix quits/times out during shows and the player has to be shut off and turned back on to continue watching. Checked for software updates and none were available.FYI: Disney + and Amazon Prime are not availableNote: using the player with an older Sony Bravia TV that has a great picture, so am hesitant to throw the TV away. Only have antenna TV and high speed internet.
