No. 918 Montego Casual Textured Semi-Sheer Grommet Curtain Panel

I have a special use for this and it will probably take a lot of words to explain, so please read on... I'll probably say some things you'll care about. I bought 18 panels!I am upgrading a guest room and adding a room divider to give guests a place not so visible when the double doors to the kitchen are opened. I doubt anyone would do that, of course, but guests would worry about it anyway. This room has 3 windows and the room divider is also made of curtains, weighted at the bottom to make them stable and to hold the shape better. I wanted something NOT see through, but that could pass light. I ordered these mainly because they are inexpensive, but also there were many reviews that gave me confidence.Suggestion: Check out YouTube's videos on hanging grommet curtains... they will give you the basics.1. These are extra wide panels and only have 6 grommets. To look as good as they can look, you'll need a curtain rod that can be adjusted far out from the wall. I had to modify my mounting of the rods to give them enough distance out from the window, etc. to hang properly. If you don't understand what I mean, please ask a question in the comments below and I'll answer.2. They do allow light passage, but NOT vision. I held it up to the window to check that and I can see nothing through it. Some reviews said they are thin, well that's not correct. They may be light weight and they do not have linings or sprayed foam on the back, but you definitely can't see through. This was particularly important where my room divider goes right next to a glass-walled shower. If I had see-through curtains, It would not hide anyone taking a shower, right? I'm concerned enough to carefully scrutinize these curtains.3. They are well stitched and washable. Children stay in that room sometimes and grubby fingers will find a way of touching anything white. I'll report on washability as an update later.4. See through is not a problem on the windows because there are Venitian blinds, but I do want light passage with the blinds open. The thickness of this panel is not too thin or too thick, but just right for that requirement.5. The situation requires the curtains to allow air to circulate, the heat or A/C to control the temperature and a little air movement to keep it from becoming too stale smelling during periods of vacancy.6. These curtains definitely need a good careful ironing to look good. They are heavily creased from folding and the nice zipper bags they each come in. If you don't know how to iron, get someone to help you that does know. Most of the photos here show that they didn't bother to iron. Fine if that's what you want.7. After buying 18, there IS some variation in lengths. This could be an issue if you only order two and find them drastically different. I was able with the large number to be able to match up lengths without trouble. You can also strategically hide a mismatch behind furniture in some cases if you can't work it out otherwise. I don't know if this is also a problem with higher priced curtains. There is certainly no way the retailer could check the exact matched length without taking them out of the packaging and then trying to fold them back exactly the same way, which was kind of complicated. No problem for me though because I just put the shorter curtains on one window and made sure the 11 that went onto the room divider were all perfectly matched.8. I weighted the bottom hems of the curtains on the room divider to keep them hanging nicely. I used 1oz fishing weights on each of the outward folds to do this and it works nicely to help space out the folds.Last comments: Plan out how your curtains will look open or closed, because you can't move a grommeted eyelet past the braces on your curtain rod. If you will only open the center, there's not a problem but if you want to open it wide and there are support hooks in the way, you'll need to get a ladder and lift the rod to do that... not cool. I'm talking about extra wide windows, of course.Adios and good luck!

These are the perfect curtains for me. Originally I bought some that were completely light blocking and it made the apartment too dark during the day so I found these instead and am so happy! I've posted pictures of how they look throughout the day from morning to afternoon to night and as you can see, at night they are completely opaque so no one will be able to see into my apartment but they still allow for some sunlight during the day plus they look beautiful. No need to steam them

I bought these for a furnished rental. I wanted something that was able to let in light but not too sheer. These were perfect for that! I love the texture on them and the grommets at top. I am super happy with this purchase, and they were an incredible price.

Ordered 2, came today with 2 different shades of yellow. Good value, nice material but I don’t want my windows to have not the same shades of yellow. That’s embarrassing so I give them one star. If they can resolve this, I’ll order more. Thanks!

The colour is so beautifuland radiant! I LOVE THEM. And the texture on point. It does reducr light but not sound.

Reading some of the reviews I thought these were sheer but they are actually pretty opaque. They let light in but you can't see through them whatsoever. The quality of the curtain is good but I give it three stars because the texture looks weird up close. They look fine from far away. If you're looking for a smooth white curtain this is not for you.

I was looking for yellow accent curtains to match a pillow on our bed and these were the only ones I could really find that looked like they would work with the height I needed. So I took a chance and bought them. They were perfect! These really matched the color that the images showed and ended up matching my pillow perfectly. They are high quality curtains and look very nice hung. The gromets are a bronze color which worked out great for what I needed. I would highly recommend this curtain in this color if you are looking for yellow! Very happy with this purchase!

Buyer be careful! These curtains only come with one panel, NOT two like in the picture! When you look at the smaller section of details it does say it only comes with one panel, but if you skim that section you will totally miss it. I wish the seller was more clear about that at the beginning of the ad. Otherwise fantastic curtain. Really nice material, ironed out really easy, and hangs nice. The colour is spot on to the picture too. The panel looks great in my son’s room, but now I have to wait for another panel to come instead of ordering them both at once...

Completely Dissapointed that its only one panel. Shouldnt have to read the small print or have to go into details to see its only one. It should be clear in the title. Who buys just one at a time?? I think thats ridiculous and deceiving... Of course right.... otherwise its a great panel. Love the material. Was excited but now dissapointed that i have to buy another and wait for it . Picture shows 2... Should be more clear that its one. But of course its my fault that i didnt read all the details right.... of course... everyone loves to be decieving so it looks like the buyers fault.... not happy that its one panel at all. But it is very nice. Thanks... i guess....

I purchased these for livingroom, Kitchen window (paper blind behind), and patio doors. The cool thing is the colour! It changes depending on the light (see photos, 2nd and last are same curtains with different lighting). They are 100% polyester. It's a waffle type pattern, you don't really see it, but gives them a good weight. No back panel so not "room darkening". Bit wrinkled because I really wanted to test the colour. My only regret... not buying more!! I failed to realize how wide the livingroom window and patio doors are. But at this price, 4 more are on my next order!!

I ordered the white and they are a true crisp white which is a rarity in fabrics. The fabric is lovely and soft. Keep in mind they are 1 grommet less (about 4 inches) shorter in width than the average curtain panel and are sold as singles. What you need to keep in mind is the fabric is an in between weight, too light to fall nicely but too heavy to have that flowy feel to it. They really need that blackout coating/lining to give it more weight.I tried washing a couple of the panels (twice) to see if it would soften and de-wrinkle. I then hung them straight from the washer & added weights to the bottom but the creases remained exactly the same and there was no difference to the fabric. Sadly, this isn't to look I was going for so I am returning the panels that were unopened and will find another use for the 2 panels I test washed. I would recommend that they put a lining/coating, if so, they'd be a home run.
