So this was a great kazoo! Great acoustics and spread (in terms of sound). I got it for my brother for christmas, and wrapped it up and put it under the tree. This is where things went downhill. My 1 year old mischievous, chews up everything, yellow lab got her paws on it. By the time I realized she had it, it was all dented and unusable. It was a shame since it was suck a nice kazoo. Anyways, its a great kazoo but it cannot stand the mouth a labrador!

Playing a kazoo is a life-enriching experience, so getting a high-quality kazoo that lasts, has good construction and can deliver a consistent sound are important in determining the overall quality of a kazoo. This kazoo has a nice shiny and light yet stable construction, so its body isn't so susceptible to normal routine damage. Humming through the turret of the kazoo gives it the humming/buzz sound quality that is standard across many kazoos, so playing it is fine. However, the membrane at the top of its body seems to come off very easily even when not humming too intensely. So reassembling the filmsy membrane and cap of the kazoo can be quite a troublesome affair. The overall construction is serviceable but long-term usage can be an issue with the top-side membrane coming off too easily that will compromise its buzzing quality. It comes with a nice cloth bag and without any instruction manual, that is delivered in a rounded blue cylinder (perhaps that's why it has the word "blue" in its marketing and branding). If a consistent sound quality is needed when humming through your kazoo, this product is fine, though there might be other alternatives at a lower price-point and are of a sturdier construction but without the premium material build, look and feel.

This was my third attempt to purchase a kazoo from Amazon! Finally, a REAL kazoo sound, powerful and beautiful, even with falsetto humming that I often do for country western tunes. I have been playing a kazoo for over 50 years, and this is the true sound I was looking for! Even came with a great canvas zippered bag and three replacement filaments AND a quick clip for attaching to a back pack or belt! Great gift!
