This filter is very interesting; as the product description states, it mimics the flares of an anamorphic lens. However, this effect comes with a few caveats.First: This filter creates this effect using small lines of a blue diffusion-esque material. This gives you that anamorphic look but it tends to over-exaggerate, flares are much more solid than a true aspherical lens and become unusable in locations with lots of large light sources. However, this beats buying a $2000 Sirui lens if you don't have two grand just sitting around.Second: Because the filter uses physical material to create the effect it is slightly visible if you look for it, otherwise it disappears into the image. In my experience, this side-effect worsens on wider focal lengths. \Third: Once again, because the filter uses a physical material to mimic an anamorphic lens, the autofocus sometimes gets confused. I used this filter on my Sony A7IV with a Sigma 24-70mm 2.8 Lens. At around 24mm the autofocus would freak out every now and then. Once again wider focal lengths accentuate this issue especially when you are focusing on subjects closer to the lens.Pros: This filter is very cool despite the caveats that I discussed. I used it on a short film and I loved it. Is it perfect? No, but nothing ever is. If you are looking into buying this filter I would recommend it. However, if you have a couple thousand dollars burning a hole in your pocket buy a real anamorphic lens like a Sirui 100mm. Overall, a great purchase that I do not regret, but be aware of the issues it brings. If you want to use a fisheye lens: Maybe not for you. If you want to get very close to a subject: Not for you. If you want to shoot at a higher focal length in dynamic lighting: This is for you.

This filter has made my life so much easier . This helps a ton to not have to dive in and take time to edit in effects that never look real, and gives you a stunning image right out of camera. Good buy !

This little beast of a filter has been my favorite new tool to use on my last couple video shoots. Makes my job easier because now I can make a rapper or artist look trippy without any vfx. Solid heavy weight feeling to it too. Had never spent this kinda money on a filter before but this one was easily worth it. I'll update this review if anything changes.

I really like that the filter is unlike any other filters on the market (at least to my knowledge). I have yet to try it during the day but its amazing at night when I want to switch up the shot.

I have been in the film + photo industry for 10+ years now, having a tool like this has added so much value to my production. Usually don’t write reviews, but when something so small can make such a huge difference - it’s worth every penny !

The screw thread of this lens (82mm) has some fundamental defect either due to machining or finishing, and Creator Filters needs to fix it. Even screwing it very gently into the tread of the lens protector I could not unscrew it; I had to remove both FX Linear Repeater and the lens protector to be able to separate the two (ant it was very difficult). I have other lenses from Creator Filters and they do not have this problem. Note that this is the second FX Linear Repeater that I bought from Amazon because I returned the first that had the same problem

Now normally I don’t write reviews but this Anamorfake filter is seriously awesome. Was just expecting some random blue streak black filter that comes in a “meh” case but this one really stepped their game up has a dope blue metallic ring. Definitely recommend using it for shooting music videos where you want the production quality to look a lot higher than budget
