This thing can power a small home office
Sure this thing will power corded power tools without a problem as long as they are up to 15A but when I got my power station, I wanted to see how it could handle other household uses when it's not powering tools. Before I purchased this Dewalt Power Station, I read a lot of reviews concerning the modified sine wave AC output it uses and frankly I was nervous about making the purchase if I was only limited in using it for power tools. I've been migrating over to the cordless platform on all my power tools so I had limited use for this in a power tool setting. But if you opened it up to recreational and emergency settings, the uses for this power station would be amazing. I tried a variety of simple electronics such as fans and LED work lights to see if I noticed and flickering or strange things occurring due to a modified sine wave and there was no difference I noticed powering these things.I wanted to see how it performed powering a more complex device like my PC - my gaming rig with dual video cards and water cooling. I used (4) FlexVolt 6Ah batteries. I wanted to perform a basic test just to see how the power station would handle a PC set-up so I wasn't running the PC with the most demanding 3D game trying to push everything to the limit. I've seen many videos showing the power station supplying power to more power hungry tools so that wasn't the point. I just wanted to see if I was in a pinch, say during a power outage, can I power a home office. With everything connected I was impressed to see this run my set up for 2-3 hours and I still had two bars on the FlexVolt batteries. I was still using my home Internet service so it's wasn't a true blackout test but running the wireless over to my hot-spot on my smartphone or MiFi wouldn't have added to the power consumption on the power station. I'm very happy with my purchase, now I just need to make sure I have (4) fully charged batteries around at all times in case I need the power station for an emergency :-)

The best investment for your small construction company.
I bought this because I have a small business and I seen that someone else wrote a review that has the same type of small business as I have, and read a review on here that was the desiding factor that ultimately made the decision of me buying this product or not. This Dewalt power station has exceeded my expectations of wither or not it would work for what I do or not. It is one of the best investimate I have made for my company to this date, and helps me run more efficiently when I am doing multiple homes in one neighborhood as well as saves time and energy from rolling up a cord over and over again when I am moving down the road from house to house. I bought this Power station to run my 6 inch gutter machine with hopes it would save me time from moving home to home as I have described in this review, and it has done that and It has out done my expectations and it continues to impress me with what it is. I love the fact that it runs off my Dewalt 20 volt batteries and it is also a charger for them if I need to charge my batteries. I am considering buying one for each of my trucks with gutter machines because they are quiet, and it is very nice to not have to run the loud generator when working. In the other review the customer mentioned running a miter saw for downspouts afterwards and I have to agree, it did as he mentioned and even more, I ran my helpers milwalkee 18 volt battery charger while I used the Dewalt power station to run the gutter machine and it ran flawlessly as well as charged his 18 volt battery. I use the Dewalt power station with four 60 volt batteries as I am trying to get the most out of the product so I know my limits and it runs flawlessly every time. If i could give it more stars I would. I hope someone looking into buying one of these power stations finds this review helpful.

Almost perfect
The media could not be loaded. Update: i guess i should really read instructions when I get new tools. This device needs every battery slot filled with at least a Dewalt 20v battery or a flex volt battery. I thought I could know how to use a charger without reading the one page instruction page. Lesson learned the hard way 🤭. So, I have some tools at home and I wanted a generator for light loads or emergency loads. I have a few big Dewalt batteries for my Dewalt line up, and this looked like an addition that I could use with my battery collection of flex volt batteries and older 20v batteries. I wanted to be able to use this in the case of a power outage lasting longer than an hour for my fridge.Positive:1 power buttonRoll cage Looking (hopefully provides durability)Works with Gen 1 dewalt portable tool cases. Can charge multiple batteriesIndividual battery charging statusCons:Open system to collect dust inside unit (can’t see it in pictures)Seems delicate (despite elongated frame)Does not offer rapid charge on any battery slotTest 1- can it charge multiple batteries (yes) slowlyIt has the rapid charger color but does not charge rapidly..Test 2- took camping with me and used it to inflate a mattress (don’t judge, I have back issues) worked fineCon- does not come with a power cord for external connection/ charging.Test 3 - new camping trip almost went belly up because now I had more confidence in the unit to trust it to do the inflatable mattress and also charge my cell phones for a 5 day trip. 😱😱😱Put it next to the mattress under different battery type combinations on top to just turn on (no reaction) will not turn on. Does not work!!! Just outside the 30 purchase date so seller won’t take back. Dewalt is hard to get a hold of for their 90 day money back so now I have to wait on them to get back to me… I wished it worked and maybe this is a one off. Will replace and update. I hoped to use this for tailgating/ loud music/ camping/ and some tool use.=CON: need 4 batteries for the output power to work. Will not work with less slots usedWhat would make it perfect is if it worked with a pair of two flexvolt batteries for power out. Or even better; just one 😑 Would also like USB outputs but now I think I just want it all
