I wanted to wait to do a road trip with these before I wrote review. Just drove 8 hrs to Disney so here we go:Loved these units, just bought a new car with a 3rd row that one child loves to sit in so wanted to get 2 separate units. (They used to watch a single DVD player sitting on seat between 2 kids)Easy to install. The wrapped together power and HDMI cord did reach over the back seat to make it to 3rd row no problem but was worried about it getting pulled when we got out of car at stops and moved the seat forward for him to get out. (Supervised it would have been fine, but hard to always supervise a 12 yr old) The cords are 6.9 feet long.I decided to buy replacement cords to go under seat from first unit down the middle of the footboard to make it to back unit. I bought a 10ft “HDMI to Mini HDMI” cord and a 10 ft AC male to male power cord. Unfortunately the power cord came with 2.5 width tips. So I went back to amazon and found 1.7 width adapter “tips” (I had to but a pkg of 8 or so for $7) . It worked great! Finally my kid could sit in the 3rd row without my 2nd row child messing with cord. These were so reasonable that paying about $28 total for the extra cords and tips didn’t bother me.My son decided right before trip he would rather ride in second row. So I switched the monitor holder with 4 screws easily in a few minutes and replaced with original cords.The picture quality is fantastic. They ran for about 4 hours with out ever being plugged into cigarette lighter adapter. Only complaint is that the speaker comes out the bottom instead of facing toward them. One or my children doesn’t like headphones so that makes it pretty loud for the adult in the front. The volume is great if you don’t mind it right behind your head.(On our old DVD player we had to add a little speaker, not these units)Otherwise I am super happy we bought these!!!!Another bonus, the units come with a soft Velcro tape that I used to secure my extra cords together so they appear as one long cord like the original ones that come with the screens.Also you can turn the power off for a few days and the movie will remember where you are at! Great feature!

Works perfectly in the car and my daughter is hooked watching her favorite movies. Volume is decent loud enough, not sure if it hooks up to blue tooth but my daughter doesn't seem to mind if I have music playing during her movie. Pretty easy to install. Only thing is you'll have to turn it off manually but movie picks up right where it was when turned off. Only two gripes but at $99 it is kind of minimal, 1st is remote doesn't seem to work very well at least from the driver's seat for volume or rewinding so I don't even try to use it anymore, two is I wish the telescopic mount could move in more to be closer to the seat the kids occasionally bump into it when leaving the vehicle.Update almost 2 years. Video would cut out do to thinking dvd tray is open. Tray has a plastic stick arm that presses on a button when it's closed, wasn't reaching far enough anymore. Put a small dab of hot glue on the tip of it to push on the close tray button and it's been good since.

Got this around Thanksgiving because the system we got about a year before needed replacing (the hinge keeping discs in broke). So we looked for one that had better quality, looked like a better build etc and had a warranty? So we selected this one. ,The package came and looked great, using HDMI sure helped and the picture and sound were definitely better. We went on our first road trip with it and started having problems on the way back and then less than a month after getting it it stopped reading DVDs entirely (which is the entire purpose of getting it). Cords still worked, the secondary screen worked and even the SD card slot works but it wont read dvds (it spins and spins... and spins... and spins but wont read it OR if it does it skips or pauses like a scratch is on the disc every 5-10 seconds which just isn;t functionable).I contacted support and they sent instructions to goto a menu that didnt seem to exist on our system and asked for video. I send them video showing what happened and then... no response since. I got this because it had a warranty which doesn't seem to exist and because I thought it would be better than the really cheap one I got before and apparently it wasn't... and the other one took abuse from young kids getting into it and still lasted a year.Maybe I just got unlucky with a bad unit but now we have a system that doesn't work and long road trips with young kids when the screens there are dead make them even longer and makes us feel we wasted our money.

I ordered this DVD player by chance when our other one (different brand) started falling apart little by little after only a few months. Honestly, this one had great reviews, but I ordered it because it was on sale and I needed one ASAP. Little did I know, I was going to LOVE this one! We have had SEVERAL portable dvd players, and they have all sucked- break within/under a year, picture quality is awful, sound is weak etc. If I could give this one 10 stars, I would. And I love the buttons in this! Quiet, you don't have to press super hard, and they work the first press. The remote is a dream, especially when driving and the movie is over and you need to restart it.Another issue I had with other dual dvd players is that the second (slave) screen has awful picture quality. Not this one! Picture quality is awesome.We don't only use it in the car, we use it in the house all the time! We have 1 year old twins who love Bubble Guppies, and when I am busy doing house chores, Guppies keep them entertained. I just strap the main screen to their playpen and bada-boom, bada-bing. I just earned myself and hour of quiet.Don't look anywhere else for a dual dvd player. This one is THE BEST!
