We store things that we want to open more easily, and found this. The lid is exactly what we were looking for. We like the blue color. It seems like it was made great so we are happy with this purchase. It's doing exactly what we bought it to do.

First of all, made in the United States of America from non-toxic materials, unlike others that use recycled and questionable plastics.Snapping the lid on was tough, as it should be, and created an airtight seal. The cover screws on perfectly. Each one holds approximately 35lbs of rice.Pro tip: If you are going to store grains for any period of time, consider getting a block of dry ice. Using gloves and a hammer. Break off a fist sized chunk of dry ice, drop it in the bottom of your bucket, fill your bucket with your food stuff, and put the lid on but do not tighten it down. Come back an hour later and finish tightening the lid. The dry ice will sublimate into CO2 and displace the lighter air, thus helping to preserve your grain.

I looked @ Lowes and Home Depot for this sized bucket and closure lid. No luck and expensive.These are perfect. My wife uses them for storing the ingredients she uses to make bread and loves them. Excellent size and easy to open / close.

Sturdy and I like the lids. Great for storing my rice and flours.

These 5 gallon buckets with sealable leads work really well. If you’ve ever tried to put on a regular lid on a 5 gallon bucket, you know it’s basically impossible to get on or then to get off. These have screw tops, and the only reason I gave it four stars is because The rim for the screw top is pretty difficult to put on and although I didn’t do it, it seems to me it would be easy to crack it and make it useless.

The rim was easy to put on if I ran it through dishwasher without soap on hottest setting, take it out in middle of cycle while very hot then use a rubber mallet to pound the rim onto the bucket. This elderly lady could then do it easily on my own. Like how the top can easily be removed and put back on.

Great product but you will need a rubber mallot to attach the twist top to the buckets. Took a little longer to arrive than predicted but worth the wait.

Good quality buckets. No problem with them. Would order again. Lids fit good.
