I ordered a pack of 4 round 7" replacement filters for the lid of a pretty big Sunleaves stainless steel countertop composter pail we got used (larger than 1 gallon). I wasn't sure if they would fit or not bc I had to guess the size of the pail. After measuring a 7" lid diameter, I went with the 7" filters. They came quick but ended up being a little too big, but I just cut the edges down some with scissors and will know next time to get a smaller size. It's only been a week, but so far no odors or fruit flies! If you are wondering what size to get for the lid of a composter, my advice is to go down an inch.

These replacement filters are substantially smaller than the original one that came with the Premium Quality Stainless Steel Compost Bin from Utopia Kitchen. Don't know if this will be a problem or not. Seems strange to me.UPDATE: I think the name Universal confused me and I didn't notice that there was more than one size. Dan from the company contacted me and sent the correct filters at no additional charge. These filters plus the right bin makes kitchen composting almost enjoyable. No smell even when I open the bin. Way better than the coffee can that I used for many years.

I have a plastic compost Paul that doesn't use filters. I cut the filter to the contour of the lid and attached it with double-sided tape. It has only been a few days. So far so good.

I ordered these because they got great reviews & were the cheapest option. They are very thick, like two or three times the thickness of others I have had. I was worried they wouldn't fit in my canister lid. But they do, perfectly. And I think they will do a great job of keeping flies out & smell in. Very very happy I ordered these. I did get a "please leave a review" email, but honestly, i'm happy to. These are great. (Make sure you order the right size. I read a review about this & measured & it's correct.)

I had a hard time finding replacement air filters for the kitchen compost bucket I bought at Costco. BB&B did not have them in their store, and nor could I find them any other place else locally. These fit well. They're not as thick as the original filters, but they do the job.

I ordered these for a kitchen compost pot. I wasn't sure about the size. My pot lid measured just under 7", but is slightly domed, so I opted for the 7.25" size and it fits perfectly. Looks like a solid product -- doesn't do much except filter smells and keep the fruit flies out, but seems well made.

The title" Universal" replacement filters threw me off. I made the assumption they were universal without checking the size and was disappointed they were too small for my compost bin. Evidently there are several sizes, not worth sending back, so ...

I found these filters to be just what I needed for our compost pail. I hadn't realized there were so many sizes until I went to order replacements. They are thicker than the ones we have had before and seem to do an excellent job of odor control. They easily fit into the lid and I am happy to know I can order additional ones in the future.
