Misfits Vegan Protein Bars, Caramel Fudge - Updated Recipe | Plant Based, Low Sugar & Carb, High Fiber Snacks | Pack of 15

I recently tried these protein bars for the first time and when compared with other vegan protein bars, these may be my new favorite! They have a soft texture inside a chocolatey coating (think Three Musketeers candy bars) that is not fully candy-bar-like but pretty close. The taste is less caramel than I would expect and has more of a mocha type flavor to me but I really like it. Of the two flavors I have tried, this one (Caramel Fudge) is definitely the winner. I will definitely be continuing to buy these for a more macro-friendly afternoon snack when I am craving something sweet and don't feel like cooking/prepping anything!

I’m always looking for new protein bars that I can grab on the go and these are great! I love that they are vegan and only 1g of sugar. The taste is really good and so is the texture. Would definitely buy these again!

I used to purchase the OG bars regularly for my husband who has Celiac disease, and he absolutely loved them. We recently found out that the new formula is no longer gluten free. This is so disappointing - we can no longer purchase these and the shift in recipe was not well communicated other than "new and softer." Misfits created a base of trust in their ingredients, and then pulled the rug out from under folks with allergies. Hopefully this review can help prevent others from getting sick.

I have never tried a protein bar that tasted as close to a candy bar as this one - and they are SO much better for you! This bar is crispy on the inside and has such a good creamy chocolate flavor, plus it is full of protein which is incredible. I cannot wait to try the other flavors!

Texture is great, feels like you’re eating a candy bar but with protein! Could use a bit more flavor.

I love the crispy pieces, it gives a nice texture in contrast to the chewiness of the middle. Protein content is good and makes it a good snack replacement and it has a protein taste but not too strong. Definitely will keep this as a snack between meals!

I LOVED the previous recipe. Caramel was the best flavour (that didn't get discontinued.) The new recipe tastes like old dust and has the texture of cheap gum that has broken down and sticks to your teeth. +2 stars for attentive customer service. But I'd suggest waiting until they reformulate again or go back to the original recipe before purchasing.

I’ve actually never written an amazon review until right now. The caramel misfit bars have been my go to protein bar for the last 6 months. The new version / formula is aggressively worse. The taste is worse, the texture is terrible. AND I can’t buy the old formula anymore. There’s no way anyone actually prefers the new formula. And to top it all off, each new bar has 4 times the sugar alcohol content compared to the old ones. I’m switching to IQ bars.
