Zircon StudSensor A150 Wall Scanner and Center/Edge Locating Stud Finder with WireWarning Detection and Signal Strength Indicator, Center Finding

I had one of the original black rectangle Zircon stud finders. After 35+ years I replaced it. I chose this because it was the most similiar. It is working great and improvements are worth it.

Bought this before moving into a new home preparing for all the mysteries that lay behind the walls.At $30.99 I think the Zircon is hard to beat. Sure, there are more accurate stud finders out there, but several are nearly double the money. The ability to detect studs accurately as well as included wiring warning is solid value.I put these features to the test and overall have been impressed. The stud detecting was accurate on normal framed walls with drywall. Unfortunately, I did not have a chance to test on any other surfaces which could be more challenging. The wiring warning does exactly that and warns you however it lacks true accuracy of exactly where the wiring is.For the average person I think this stud finder is hard to beat. If this is something you plan to use on a daily basis for work or you are dealing with horsehair plaster walls, I'd consider spending more and getting a higher end model, but the reality of this purchase is I will probably break this out every few months and for that it does everything I need.

I read the manual and noticed it says it doesn't work with tile, though the description doesn't mention that and someone in the reviews said it does. I have 1/4" ceramic tile on my bathroom walls, and this thing was all over the place. I just returned it. I liked the minimal packaging, but was disappointed it didn't come with a battery.

Bought this on a recommendation from Project Farm on YouTube. I live in a very old house and the studs and electrical cables can be scattered all over. This finds them quickly.

Highly recommend. I love that it detects electrical as well as the studs so you don’t have to worry about accidentally detecting conduit and hitting wires instead of wood

The product is simple and has only one job find the studs. It does the job well.There are 3 cons with it. I give it 3 stars. Truly deserves 2 stars but one extra star for the price.1. You have to view the display at 90degree any slight angle in your vision you cant see the display.2. It is bulky and you cannot use it near window/door trims.3. You have to slide it across the wall without lifting it even a single bit. Any hiccup and it doesn't work.

This worked perfectly find the studs in an old bathroom with thick tile covered walls. I would recommend this product.

incredibly inaccurate. I watched at least 5 videos to make sure I wasnt doing anything wrong, but the sensor only hit ONE stud. ONE out of 15 drillings I made.

Got it for work. Have an older cheaper model for home use. This product doesnt do its job. Followed all the directions, let it calibrate, and it did not detect any studs in my wall. Used the older one, worked fine.Also came in weird packaging, just a unbranded cardboard box with bubble wrap and instructions, like it had been removed from its original packaging.Do not buy this. Not sure if its the supplier or this particular model but it doesn't work, not worth the money. Zircon stuff is usually good. Not this.

This “stud finder” barely managed to identify a 2” x 4” stud behind a simple half-inch thick sheet of dry wall. I tested it on a wall where I knew the studs had 16” centre points. This thing failed to find anything. Do not buy this product.
