Foster Grant Gavin Fold Flat Reading Glasses

I really love these glasses.They're well-constructed, nice materials and design plus they fold flat and fit right in my pants pocket.When they're folded away in their case, it pops nicely open for use when you push the little opening button.I've had 3 pair for about 5 years and one pair finally failed but they won't last forever.I already replaced them.

I found these readers at Walgreens years ago, my Dad loved both pair since it was a BOGO & even gave a pair to my Adopted Bro. Then I couldn't find them anymore. Both wanted a spare pair & one needed a higher level.Both loved it fit in their shirt pockets, they don't fog, they self adjust to your face without sliding down your nose or putting pressure on your temples. There is no need to unfold anything they pop out of the case ready to go & flop down into the case without issues. The nose piece looks odd but it's comfortable.I borrow them from time to time for something I need a little more magnification for or very small print. I get why they like them. Now I found a supply again. Everyone is happy with their readers.

I love how thin they are in the case, it's makes them easy to carry without taking up much space. I've worn this model of readers for several years and they've changed the design slightly, but not for the better in my opinion. I don't like the new style of the nose pads, they need adjusting to fit better and are not as comfortable as the old style. The case has issues too, all of them, old and new, the hinge pins work their way out of the case and are easily lost, making the system pointless as the case is integral to the folding function. I found I could replace the pins with model aircraft wire from the hobby shop and put a drop of epoxy on the end to keep it in place. The case also has a rubberized coating on the outside that does not hold up to continued use and gets tacky feeling after a while. I really like the idea of these, but I will try a pair of ThinOptics readers next time to see if I like them better.

After cataract surgery, i needed glasses for reading. These are perfect and easy to carry around. I like the slim design better than the big plastic frames.

I like to carry a set of glasses with me everywhere I go and these fit the bill. They come with a lightweight, very tough, case and the case fits perfectly in the leg pockets on my Carhartt pants and shorts.The glasses are ready as soon as you open the arms, just like a regular pair of glasses. No fussing with telescoping arms, or additional hinges. The hinges that are there are spring-loaded, so they open as soon as the case is open.I've been carrying these for at least six years, maybe more. I've never broken a case nor had the glasses break in any way, and I think I'm rather hard on them. The only reason this is my fourth set is that I've unfortunately needed to increase magnification that many times...Highly recommended if you're looking for a compact set of readers for daily carry.

I purchased this item (through the Foster Grant store on Amazon) on June 19 and received it on June 22. 45 days later, one of the arms fell off rendering the glasses unusable. I have used previous versions of these glasses for years without any complaints. This model (which is slightly different from the previous model) is terrible. I reached out to Foster Grant via the support website given on the Amazon support page and they said that they could not do anything even though the website said that their products have a 90-day warranty. I do not recommend. Try a different brand.
