Q: We have 2 small dogs (10-20lbs) and 1 large dog. Will the little dogs be able to drink from the large size?

Yes they will. The Small Dogs will easily be able to drink from the Large Breed Model. The only time it can be an issue is if the Small breed Dog has a very Flat Round Face and super Short tongue as that may prohibit them from being able to reach the water. The opening on the Large Breeds Model for instance is 2.35 Inches Wide, a lot of small breed dogs have a small snout and will easily be able to fit their snout down into the opening and reach the water. But if they have a super flat face and small tongue they may not be able to reach the water. You could always buy one for each Breed Size as well and they will drink from their respective Breed Size Lids if you have a dog with a super flat face with short tongue. Hope that helps. Q: My cat usually drinks out of our dogs bowls. Will she still be able to?

Yes. I will admit at first I hated this bowl because I wasn’t putting it together right. However, we have two 100 pounds pups that drink out of it and one 8 pound pup. I think your kitty would be fine.

Q: Does the lid come with it or do you have to buy it separately?

The unit comes with everything, the lid, gasket, plug and finger valve.

Q: Do we have to go through all five steps each time we fill the bowl? Or can we just keep adding water as the level gets low.

In theory, you go through the 5 steps in order to create the vacuum needed to keep the water down. Unfortunately for us we could never get it to work properly despite following all the steps repeatedly. So we have just another water bowl and, consequently, water everywhere all the time. We have just resigned ourselves to this fact and just deal with it as all 3 of our large dogs have beards. Maybe we are the problem??
