Great crockpot
I searched for a new crockpot when I needed to travel with mine that didn't have a locking lid. I looked at many different ones before settling on this one. Features such as locking lid, timer, automatically goes to warming mode, lid holder all made this one the most appealing. Another feature is the temperature probe that plugs in & sticks through the lid to cook food to temperature. Only downside to this item is that the probe isn't very long. My first time trying to use it today & it doesn't go far enough to reach my chicken breasts. I did slice them thinner but was surprises that I couldn't even touch them. I still love this crockpot & am sure I will be able to use the probe another time. I would recommend this crockpot to anyone.

Nice crockpot
I ordered this for our daughter. We got her a crockpot about 7-8 years ago and it literally wore out so I got her this and she loves that it locks, settings are easy, it’s 7 quarts so being a family of 3 teenagers there is plenty of cooking space.

Easy to use
I love this crockpot because it is so easy to set the correct level of cooking (warm, low, high) and the time! It will also switch to warm if you are not there when the time is up! I really like the chalkboard finish! I took it to a recent church potluck, and it was fun to identify the contents with colorful chalk as well as listing the main ingredients (which helps those with food allergies!) This crockpot really stood out from all the other stainless steel models! My food cooked perfectly, and, most important, the pot was super easy to clean! One downside, which may not matter to most, is that it does not reach high temperature quickly. So, give it a few extra minutes if you need to add noodles. orzo, pasta, etc., to a recipe at the end of the cook.

Great cooker.
I don't really care about the chalkboard coating on this but I love the flat black appearance it gives. The cooker works just as it should and I really like snap down lid. Just keep in mind that it has a vent hole because it's not a pressure cooker and it would probably explode if it wasn't ventilated. So when transporting the cooker make sure to tape the hole or plug it somehow, just remember to remove your plug before turning the unit back on.

Works as described
This product has been perfect as a crockpot.Pros:More powerful than some and many of my recipes on low, so adjust your times accordingly.Temperature control works great on roast or when we are trying not to overcook any meats or even squash. There is one primary spot for the gage, but several other spots you can use so you can get the correct placement.Sous vide is a nice feature, although the water does not swirl (obviously).Locking lid with rubber seal is very nice, especially for travel.Cons:No delay timer. When I plan on having food ready after work, I am forced to lower the cook time down even more since it is likely going to sit on warm for a while. No medium heat. I feel the lack of a medium setting on the crockpot portion led them to make the low a bit too high in temperature.Overall a great piece of kitchen equipment, and for this price point, you really can’t go wrong.

Exactly what I needed!
After my old crockpot broke, I got a new one. It was expensive and "fancy," but low was barely hot, and high was WAY too high. And forget about warm; that was basically the same as off. After a lot of wasted food and melted crockpot liners I broke it by putting cold water into the hot crock, I know I know.We replaced it with his one, and it's perfect! It's easy to use, and the temperatures make sense! My liners don't melt, and my food comes out perfect! I also love that it has a tight seal with the rubber gasket! Seriously, perfect.

Updated review- Buyers Beware, no support
Update of an update: I reached out to Black & Decker regarding this faulty slow cooker and they replaced it with a newer model. I think they know that there are faulty ones out there so if you get one just reach out to them ands they will make it right. I’m still leaving this model at one star because it clearly has issues and I’m not the only one with those issues.Update: I purchased this on August 22, 2023. I’ve used it 2-3 times since then. Unfortunately it is no longer cooking like it should and wouldn’t you know it’s past the return window and there is no support from the seller or manufacturer.I put chicken breasts with broth and turned it on high to get it going then typically turn it down and let simmer until tender. After 8 HOURS on high it would not come to a simmer at all and it didn’t have a lot of broth. The chicken was not cooked tender either. So I put it away and brought it back out this morning to hopefully finish the cooking process and now this morning it’s simmering but barely. I was so hopeful all of these negative comments were flukes and I would get a good one. Well sad to say that’s not what happened so I can not recommend this product at all. Amazon doesn’t give the option to reach out to the seller regarding my issues. There is a link to another site but NO support for slow cookers so what’s the point having the link in there. So now I sit with a moody slow cooker that I can not rely on.I have been looking for a larger slow cooker for months but most has some concerning reviews like breaking glass lids, melting parts, too hot, not hot enough. I was at my wits end trying to find an affordable one to replace my old one that I gave to my daughter. I was almost regretting that I gave it away.I wanted at least a 7qt and one day I just decided to get this brand and I’m thankful that I got a good one. I wanted a locking lid for transporting and 7qts is plenty big. I can’t imagine how big an 8 or 10qt size must be! I want to keen on the digital display because they just always seem to fail so I am hoping it holds up.Right away I washed it and did a crock of chili and it cooked evenly and the temperature seemed accurate. I do like the timer option too to prevent overcooking.I’m definitely happy with this purchase
