dont rely on this as a temperature sensor, the PPM is debatably okay.
After testing water straight out of the kettle for PPM, I found it to be really inaccurate until it has cooled, maybe its to do with temp maybe its something else, but regardless the temp isn't going below 21C.

Faulty tds meter
These tds meters should have a screw in the back of them to turn to be able to calibrate the meter with calibration solution so that it reads the correct tds level at all times this product does not have one so you can not calibrate it to the correct tds reading when using calibration solution, there are alot of these going around which are factory rejects but people are selling them as a full working item.

Sorry but my device gave the same reading for hard and soft water.
