This a really cute and well made maneki-neko! I bought to place above my fireplace with the hopes of bringing in good luck.

The description of this ceramic cat said it was 14 cm tall. It is not, it is only 10 cm tall. So tiny, I have to squint to see it across the room. Shame on the seller for saying it is taller than it really is.At least Amazon is refunding the 17.99 I paid for it and I don't have to return it. Make sure you know what size this cat is before you buy it. It's cute if you can see it. Very disappointed in the product description.

Neither arm waves, so not a true 'beckoning' cat. It's cute. Since all the documents are in Japanese, there's no way to tell what the purpose of the scrolls on each side are. Had hoped it would be a bank like my last one that had an arm broken after it was accidentally knocked over by a live cat, but it's too small for that...
