The CMON A Song of Ice and Fire Tabletop Miniatures Baratheon King's Men Unit Box is an expansion designed for players of the popular strategy game. It requires the A Song of Ice & Fire Starter Set to play and introduces a new melee unit for House Baratheon, enhancing gameplay with fully assembled and pre-colored miniatures. Good Minis
I don't know anything about this strategy game or anything about the Ice and Fire lore. I'm running a D&D campaign and wanted some generic knights to use as enemies for my party to fight.These minis are very good quality, very high level of detail, and durable plastic. None of the swords were bendy or misshapen. A few of them came with sprews from injection molding, but that was easily fixed in 10 minutes with a hobby knife. The shots were complete, no voids and no surface cavities on any of them.They didn't take acrylic paint immediately, but after a quick spray with Krylon Fusion for plastic, I was able to give them all a black acrylic wash and dry brush on some different metallic colors. My photo shows white, brass, and blue acrylic overcoats on top of the Krylon primer base.I will definitely shop for CMON minis again when I'm in need of some bulk bad guys. At just about $3.30 per figure, the quality is at least as good if not better than Reaper, and slightly less expensive. The only better alternative I can think of is 3D printing your own HeroForge designs from the file, but I'm not willing to get that invested in it.

The rumors are true
I had heard Dark Sword had upped their game and that the most recent releases are even better and although in the end I'm switching my loyalty to Renly I have to admit the quality on the figures look great.

I thought they were OK for the most part because of the detail. I didn't like how thin the weapons on the figures look. The handles on the warhammers are straw thin. The blunt hammer piece looks like the molding wasn't completed. For the most part I would've sent them back if I didn't have to deal with the hassle of shipping. I'm ok with them but I'm not happy with them.
