My 5 year old had separate issues and was chewing on her hair and fingers. This has greatly helped. She's excited about them because they are so cute. She even let her little sister have one since she's teething. They hold up to the furious chewing of a toddler as well as the stronger bite of a 5 year old. The necklace "clasp" (plastic clip thingy) is study enough to stay on but easily breaks away so I don't work about strangulation. Overall a great product.

Have a toddler that loves to chew and these are great! They really help out with the over stimulation and also love the break away necklace!

Bought these to try and help my 5 year old daughter to stop chewing her hair. She immediately took to the feather, I believe because it's smaller than the others and textured closest to that of hair. It has really helped alot. If it's on her neck she is not even remotely interested in her hair.

I bought these for my light chewing 3 yr old in hopes she'd leave her little sister's teethers alone. Unfortunately within days of purchasing she chewed pieces off of the donut, the cylinder, and leaf. The ice cream seemed to be the toughest and lasted a little longer. I did have to get rid of the other 3 for safety reasons. They are a decent size and had a nice variety of textures. These would likely be okay for babies 1 and under but for safety purposes I wouldn't recommend for older children.
