A THICC Lock
The alarm is rather touchy when first trying to unlock it, but after dealing with it for a solid two weeks, I have mastered unlocking it without getting sideways looks. Really beefy, and don't forget to get a cable for $6 on Amazon, I almost took off with the lock on, but thankfully it was already touching the caliper. Would buy again to increase the decibels lol

Likely as good as it gets for a disk rotor lock.
If the thief has a van/truck it won't matter, but other than that it is a very good deterrent. As others have described it is not as loud as most would like, and it does take a bit of practice to get on/off without sounding the alarm. I practiced the on/off routine a few times and was able to get it down on a 2016 Ducati 1200R where the rim to disk rotor clearance is tight... even so was able to get it on/off without setting it off. Finish is very good BTW, certainly good enough for a lock.

Too Sensitive for a windy day
Works well, but too sensitive. I live in NYC and street parked my motorcycle. During a windy week, the alarm constantly went off, pissing everyone off up in the area. I finally went down and took the lock off for my and everyone else's sanity. A day later someone stole the bike. I think that if this lock was a bit less sensitive, or if I could adjust the sensitivity I would still have my motorcycle.

Make sure you lock it quick or the alarm will go off
This thing is solid. I know anything can be cut off with enough time but it's gonna take awhile with this thing. Keep in mind it is very heavy.

Returned the first one cause it was used.
Returned the first one because it was used. Second one was totally different. Material finish was different. The part that slide on your rotor was coarse like cast metal, not polished like the first. For such an expensive lock, it isn't great. No way to unlock and remove it without setting off the alarm either. You only have about 3 seconds to turn the plastic dial, insert your key, turn it 170 degrees, pull a pin and slide it off your rotor. The lock is robust and alarm works. But for the price I should be able to remotely disarm it before unlocking it. There are locks/alarms that are a fraction of the price and offer the same security.

Great
Just one thing the item is German yet it’s made in China. I had seen the item on How’s it Made yet if a company puts it on TV made in German it should be from Gemany item stamp made in China

I'd recommend
Very heavy, solid feeling lock. I don't use this everyday, but when I have it's very simple. You've got to be quick when putting it on the bike however. If you don't get it resting shortly, you'll set the very loud alarm off.

Works perfectly!!
I have a 2010 Yamaha XVS1900 Raider. This things works perfectly and is extremely loud. It's not overly touchy and goes off exactly when it should. I don't worry about people trying to drill, cut or pick it because it will be blaring out loud all the while. After getting new wheels and front rear discs I have to mount it differently than before but still am able to mount it effectively. VERY pleased with this device!!
