Jigsaw Puzzle for Adults by Playful Pastimes, 1000 Pieces, Indian Spices, Cardboard Puzzle Dimensions 27" x 20"

I am a new fan of Playful Pastimes Puzzles. I've done a few of them now and they are such excellent quality. I do about 100 puzzles every year (listening to audiobooks), so I think I'm a good judge of quality. This Spice puzzle is beautiful with a clear photo that has vibrant colors and is fun to put together. The pieces are thick and hold together so well that you can pick up the puzzle after and it will hold together. One thing that could be improved (if the company wants my opinion) is to make the poster bigger than the box cover. That would be awesome! (But thank you for the poster!)

The Playful Pastimes “Spice of Life” 1000 piece puzzle is well made with the pieces fitting together the way one hopes. This is a very difficult puzzle and certainly a challenge, but satisfying when you are finished putting it together. I found the puzzle especially challenging because many pieces appeared more blurred in reality than they appeared on the box or the very nice poster picture that was included. I am very happy with Playful Pastimes puzzles.

This is a high quality puzzle. Will be great for someone who has a lot of patience. Unfortunately I ended up putting it away after completing about 25% of it. It just was too tedious for me and I wasn’t enjoying it.

First off let me commend the company because they did NOT put cheater letters on the back of the pieces. I really don’t understand that at all. That’s like doing Monday’s crossword puzzle on Tuesday so you can see all the answers!?!? Anyway…the pieces are clearly cut and interlock very well. They are also thick and sturdy plus the paper does not peel off when handling them.I really like the photo. It is clear and not blurry though some of the spices around the edges are less clear but this is not blurry from bad printing, it’s simply an artistic camera shot and does not detract from the overall photo at all.

I like a puzzle to give me a bit of grief but not too much and this one fits the bill. Nice sturdy pieces, different shapes, and edges match (not a fan of puzzles where anything goes with fitting the pieces together). A colorful picture gives lots of distinct areas in which to work, but there are areas of duplication, adding to the challenge.
