Q: What is the diameter of the pin that goes into the base please?

About 13mm. But why would you do want to know that? If you want the base somewhere that is not the edge of the table, I believe it comes with a screw(or maybe a bolt) that go's out the bottom of the base if you want it. You then make a hole in your table and bolt the base to wherever you'd like.

Q: Would this work mounted 180 degrees? I.e. from the ceiling? Im looking for an arm that can be brought down from the ceiling.

The mic arm and the base that the arm slots into do not clip together. If you turned it upside down the arm would fall out of the base.

Q: Can this be modified to be attached to a regular 5/8 mic stand like on top of a keyboard stand?

The mic holder can, but not the adjustable boom stand.

Q: Will this work with a razer web cam?

The screw threads are much larger than the threads on the bottom of the Kiyo webcam. You may be able to find an adapter of some kind, but it is not compatible out of the box.
