I had purchased this raised bed to replace a previous cedar bed that had rotted out. I was very concerned about getting a material that would not leech chemicals into the soil because this is where we grow our veggies, which is how I came across the Vego Gardens.This garden is perfect for my needs. The size configurations have flexibility, which allowed me to fit it to my space adequately. It was very easy to assemble, and each panel was covered front and back with a protective layer that prevented scratches in shipping/ unboxing.After assembly, the garden is very sturdy. We used sticks, leaves, and compost, filling the top 12" with new organic soil. I think the metal will hold in some moisture, while draining well through the bottom (the advantage of doing research on using the right materials to layer and fill the bed).Cosmetically, which was lower on my criteria, the bed is beautiful! They did not cut corners and I like the rubber lip on the top as well as the color, which coordinates nicely with our exterior on this part of our home. There are many fun accessories available from this company to add to easily (irrigation, lighting, netting, etc).Ultimately, I'm happy with the purchase, my plants are growing well and I think this will last quite a while for our needs.

I have been thinking about similar products for several years and finally decided to buy two of these. I amsooooo pleased with them...their sturdiness, their quality, and their color. Even though I needed help withassembly, it was still very easy: no pathetic hardware and no unaligned holes for the hardware. I am anOld Person but have help often. My helper and I assembled it in the garage and were able to take it to the gardenwith no problem at all. They look great, they're a perfect size for me...the ones I bought were 8 x 2...and Iam really excited about using them. Great Product.

Update: I now have 8 of these raised beds by Vego as of July 2025. My first Vego raised bed from 2022 is going strong and looks like new, even with mowing and weed whacking around it. Nothing damages these raised beds.Original review: Over the course of two years I've increased to 6 of these Vego Garden raised beds, a real upgrade from the wood bed and random pots I'd been growing vegetables in. The quality is excellent. The materials aren't flimsy and the beds are sturdy and maintain their shape when filled with dirt. Assembly is tedious, but not a complete deal breaker. The first time ever assembling one took awhile, but now it takes me a little over an hour of continuous work to assemble one completely. Speed of assembly greatly increased when Vego switched to a nut design that had the washer already attached to it, versus having to put a separate washer and nut on each bolt. I think assembly would be easier if I had some sort of ratcheting wrench or even a drill with a socket attachment to tighten everything. Since I don't, I use the tiny socket wrench enclosed with the parts kit, which is a tedious task. Each metal panel is wrapped on both sides with plastic that has to be removed, but once you get a corner pull started, the plastic rips off quickly. I've bought so many of these because they're sturdy and I really like the olive green color. I think it makes my garden area look planned and intentional, versus thrown together. The major drawback is cost. There are other cheaper alternatives offered here on Amazon--but I think quality varies greatly according to reviews. I guess I'd rather pay more for something I know will last a long time, claims to be made of food safe materials, and won't fall apart or rust-- especially since I'm growing edible items in the beds.

There’s a ton of options for raised garden beds on amazing, but it usually boils down to “you get what you pay for” and the reviews/product description didn’t disappoint! These are very high quality, nicely designed raised garden beds that two people can put together in about 20 minutes. There’s a lot of nuts/screws required for assembly but they go together beautifully with a middle “support” bar that’s designed to connect with the nuts/screws being used. A nice rubber trim piece gets installed last on the upper edge to take any sharp edges away, simply cut off what’s not used. Available in many colors, we went with two of the 8’ L units and will probably grab a third next season!For reference, anyone looking to plant fruits/veggies, we used 13-15 bags of premium top soil and a bag or two of peat moss/organic raised bed mix before planting (no rocks at bottom layer) for each 8’ L bed unit.

The beds are really beautiful and excellent quality, so for that I give them 5 stars. However, they take twice as long as they should to put together because of the protectant film you have to peel off of each panel before assembly. For the size I purchased it was front and back of 12 panels and each side takes 2-3 minutes to peal. Multiply that by 24 sides and that’s a significant amount of extra time required. Once everything is peeled off, assembly isn’t bad.I probably won’t purchase again unless they find a better solution for protecting the panels, which is unfortunate because I do love the beds and will continue to build out my garden.

Super easy to put together! Very sturdy in holding the dirt and yard waste as directed to fill the garden bed. Love the size and it is perfect for strawberries and cucumbers, which is what I have in my garden beds. Strawberries are doing great, cukes are struggling a bit, but I think that is because of the Ohio weather we are having. Definitely would buy again if they were on sale.
