The adapter doesn't fit at 100%, too long for the monitor holder. Package missing black cloth. Need word and additional screws to fit

I have an Asus VZ249HE monitor and was excited to come across this adapter. The product details mention it working for it. However, when I read the instructions that came with it, the instructions did not mention this model number. It is understandable that the adapter doesn't fit at 100%, too long for the monitor holder. In addition, the package mentions using a black cloth - but it was missing.
