Height is key
I purchased this for a neice who enjoys woodwork projects/art. I seen other tables like this but I seen this one had the best height adjustment option. And being a foldable to stowaway makes it a space saver.

The instructions SUCK
I found putting this workbench together was time-consuming and quite difficult, primarily because the instructions are frustratingly unclear and brief. It was made even more difficult in my case because there were nuts and bolts missing UPDATE: Now that the workbench is together, I really don't think its anywhere near as useful as the Black & Decker Workmate -- it's quite a bit heavier and nowhere near as easy to set up for use.

Extremely hard to put together!
I specifically purchased a rubber mallet per the instructions to “hammer” in part…It damaged the mallet trying to get the piece to fit in the handle! The only thing that came together right was the bench standing on its own legs and rising up to its full height…I couldn’t get any further and putting it together…

TERRIBLE 1 STAR TO REFUND 4 STAR****
Terrible construction! Terrible so called assembly instructions. Terrible alignment. Terrible leveling. Terribly UNSAFE! REALLY TERRIBLE TILT MECHANISM. WISHED I HAD READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE ORDERING. My BIG Mistake! They contacted me a couple days ago an offered a full refund which naturally I accepted. I may have just got a bad one but thank you to seller for standing behind their product! I am changing my review to 4 stars for their support. WISHED it had worked out cause I need a good bench.

a bit of a pain to assemble
It was not the easiest to assemble and ours was missing bolts.

Not recomended
Unit top heavy and flimsy, directions were poor, and wood vice chipped easily.

Not very portable, some parts incorrect
When it's deployed, it works pretty well. You can do all sorts of things with it.The problem was when I tried to fold it and store it. Several problems arose. Primarily, this guy was not designed to be folded flat. There are knobs and other parts meant for adjusting the height that protrude and impede the legs from fully closing. The second problem may have been specific to my unit: the tilt mechanism was installed with an incorrect part. One of the notched semicircular metal parts that have the angled stamped on them was not the pair of the opposite part. I had to turn that part around so the stamped numbers were facing the wrong way in order to tilt the bench top. That said, it can't really be called portable because it has to remain deployed or only partially folded the entire time.

Terribly difficult to put together and poor instructions
Significant gap in between bolt and nut and no way to fasten it tighter with nuts provided. Attempted to use more washers than instructed, but still too much of a gap for tight fit. Need additional supplies to build correctly.
