Perfect for what I needed
I teach high school (world language, and ELL) and was looking for more independent work for students to complete to get started in French. This is perfect and from other commenters, it sounded like the previous editions had added two l's in the nous and vous form of appeler but the error appears to have been corrected because it appears "appelez-vous" in my book.

Has some mistakes but overall great beginners' workbook.
After using this book for 3-4 years as a teacher for my beginners French students, I have to say it is pretty good. There are several typos and mistakes that are easily fixable with some white out. Also as a French person I think the way they explain/ conjugate verbs is really not the most logical or easiest way. So I had to change that to make it much easier for my students. With one hour of French tutoring per week , you can make your student finish this book in just under a school year time. I did add several lessons to explain articles/ negation/ verbs/ plural better than they do it in this (if at all done in the workbook) and made my own tests. Anyway bottom line, tweak the book a little bit and you get a great 1st year base to teach your students (15 and older is best I think). Then I use the "French step by step" book for my second year of teaching and in 2-3 years (keep in mind this is with just one hour a week of class) your students should have enough to at least write French !

Good, Hands On Workbook
We all learn different ways. Writing and exercises are my 2nd best way to learn. This is very basic, but perfect for the newcomer to French. Visual as well as writing. Repetition, to help you master the language which is one of the tougher ones to learn. Highly recommend this book.

Too simple for me.
Probably good for children…not for me.

Life saver for French 1 activities, extensions, and subplans!!
This has saved my life when I haven't had time to plan activities for my 9th grade French 1 class. It also aligns well with the curriculum! It has être, avoir, present tense -er verbs, adjective agreement, greetings, vocab for food, activities, family, etc. It's also awesome sub plan material!
